Biography
Stretch Silvester is now into his 16th year as a producer, he continues to release dance music that penetrates both the commercial charts and underground clubs.
Stretch has had Pete Tong essential new tunes under different aliases (Stretch & Vern, Coloursound, Sucker DJ's and Paradise Soul) and has produced and remixed for mainstream and underground names from the likes of U2 and Candi Staton to Felix da Housecat. He has released music on labels FFrr, Hoojchoons, Wall of Sound, City Rockers, Junior Boys Own, Rebirth, Pieces of Eight, Anjunadeep, Great Stuff and Ministry of Sound. Last year saw a twelve track album release on Pieces of Eight records under his EssenVee moniker with his partner Julian Peake.
His 1996 worldwide hit ‘I’m Alive’ was released in December 2010 on Ministry of Sound with new mixes from the likes of Tom Starr, Louis La Roche & Faze Action. Radio support from Pete Tong, Annie Mac & Annie Nightingale has ensured exposure to a new generation of clubbers for this dance classic.
His first release for 2011 is already a milestone in house music. Coloursound’s “Fly With Me” was originally released in 2002 on the British label City Rockers with Damian Lazarus as A&R and is now back on Great Stuff’s Roots Edition series with remixes from Spektre’s Filthy Rich, Nicole Moudaber (Intec) and Bar 25 resident Dirty Doering from Berlin.
He's currently adding finishing touches to his Stretch and Vern album, including collaborations with Delline Bass (Reflekt), Sam Obernik and Dirty Vegas to name a few.

Watch out for the updated re-release of our 90’s dance classic ‘I’m Alive’ on Ministry of Sound, which is set to be even bigger than the original release!
You may remember ‘I’m Alive’ the track which reached number 2 in the US Billboard charts and number 6 in the UK in 1996, staying in the charts for an amazing 9 weeks! The 2010 mixes are set to explode on to the dance scene!!
Despite being released in the 90’s, this is still picking up plays on the radio recently including on Dave Pearce’s dance anthems show and plays by Annie Mac, confirming this track as a real classic!
This old skool track is set to be huge with new remixes from Jordy Lishious, Tom Staar and Louis La Roche. With samples from Earth, Wind & Fire’s ‘Boogie Wonderland’ and ‘The Vision’ by Schluermann, this track has everything required to be a hit in 2010!
