Songwriter / Bassist/ Guitarist DAVID PILGRIM was raised in the island paradise of Barbados and came of age in New York's concrete jungle. Ever since, he's spanned those 2 worlds. Since 1998 he has played his own Caribbean-accented fusion which he calls ISLAND SOUL. Since 2007, he has played with THE SOULFOLK EXPERIENCE, a circle of veteran New York songwriters/multi-instrumentalists who in 2010 released a superb compilation of their work, THE SOULFOLK EXPERIENCE VOL. 1. 2011 marks the release of his latest album ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL. It is a genre-stretching work that further expands the concepts of his two previous albums, UNDER THE BUSHEL and ISLAND SOUL. As David himself says: " Lyrics for adults, rhythms for the child in all of us, with a Caribbean flavor thrown in for good measure."
