A friend of mine was to be released from Monmouth County Jail yesterday. But it seems that the Judge made a mistake with not allowing her work credits to be applied to her sentence. And guess what, he's on vacation today. Trick or treating no doubt, so she may not be allowed out until Monday or whenever his F**KING ASS gets back from vacation...as my friends sits in a CAGE for longer then she should...she should? and there's no back-up judges I ask!!!
She was incarcerated for 2 months on a probation violation for a marijuana possession charge. Yeah that right, she spent 2 month IN JAIL FOR A F**KING PLANT!!! and the F**KING JUDGE is on VACATION so she "probably" won't be released for another 3-4 days until this F**KING HYPOCRITE A**HOLE JUDGE gets back from VACATION!!!

Today was my last day at the company that solicits donations for charities. I was going to work until Sunday, but decided to make tonight my last night. I'm not sure if they are closing down or not on Monday as they haven't mentioned anything. But a friend of mine is getting out of Monmouth County Jail tomorrow and I wanted to spend time with her before I started the new job. She's been there for 2 months on a probation violation charge and was supposed to get out today, but it was held off because the Judge made a mistake with her release date so she was held another day. Hopefully tomorrow she gets out.
So I really feel bad for the other people I was working with. For most of them, its all they know how to do or that would even hire them. A lot of them are street kids that got older...and couldn't hustle anymore. Mad tattoos, piercings, long hair and street and jail style attitudes. Prison records prevent many of them from getting any other work. Some are just older people out of work and need something until they find work. Sales people (car or real estate) or just kids in schools trying to make some money. Some are second or third jobs for people to make ends meet. They leave their 8 hour a day jobs to go there and work an extra 4 hours a night and weekends.
I feel bad for them. I mentioned that today was my last day to a few and that I got another and they came back with "yo, hook a brother (or sister) up...can you get me in?"
No I said, you need to be a programmer and I'm lucky I got it.
I wish I could help them...I wish I could bring them with me...really...I wish I could give them a free existence...I will be making a lot more an hour then all of them. And I feel bad about that...and really bad for them. But I have to pay my bills that are piling up and back money I owe for being out of work for so long. And I really need to get back into an apartment.
They really work hard on those phones to solicit donations..not because of the charities, because their .50 cents an hour raises every 2 months count on it. If you don't keep your pledge numbers up they can actually lower you back down to $9 $8 or $7.50 an hour from the $10+ an hour they get after 2 months of working there. Or even fire you.
It's sad...and while I do credit the company (CDG) for giving them a job at least, which most companies wouldn't even do, they still are underpaid based on what they do, which is very stressful, and how much it costs to live in this miserable world.
40hrs a week X $10 = $400 a week - taxes = $360 a week...
I can't do more then 4 hours a day...much less 8 hours...because of the stress level involved with rejections and hang ups and people being nasty to you and not wanting to donate and taking it out on you that you that you are calling them during dinner...or the baseball game or another phone call.
Some have children or child support to pay. One guy said "yeah tomorrows pay day!!"
Another guy replied, "yeah all my money goes to child support so I don't even care anymore"
The mangers there do these "the highest total pledges gets a $5 bill at the end of the hour" thing and other games to motivate them to get more pledges....and it does..its sad...really sad....
ur right it does not. But what comes around does go around. you provide & are responsible for a hell on earth for children of god that have no choice other then to follow along or die of starvation.
