About me:
So I finally had to come up with a professional bio and here it is-
Chad Goller-Sojourner is a Seattle based poet and spoken word performance artist. He is the founder and visionary behind The Baldwin Parker Lorde Project. Which seeks to use poetry, spoken-word and performance activities as transformational tools to aid and engage lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender folks of color in creating and modeling protective attitudes and behaviors as they relate to HIV & STD Awareness, Prevention and Wellness.
His inaugural Chapbook entitled Born One Thousand Years Too Early: Fat, Dark-Skinned, Gay and Adopted by White Folks A Fragmentary Journey Towards Alignment received accolades from Maya Angelou and has been described as poignant, chilling and prophetic. Recently he served as the creator, executive producer and artistic director for People of Color Against Aids Network Presents: Standing In The Gap -- And Speaking Their Names -- Black Gay Poets Honor Their Ancestors -- A Spoken Word Requiem
Currently he is working on a one man multi-media show entitled: Sitting in Circles with Rich White Girls: Memoirs of a Bulimic Black Boy which chronicles his life long affair with the scale and a ten plus year liaison with an eating disorder. A novel entitled In God’s Way is also in the works.
