.. .. .. .. .. .. ...... Our new album, "The Joyless Parson" will be released in September of 2011 on Vendlus Records. It is currently being remixed and remastered by Tom Kvålsvoll (1349, Emperor) and features artwork by our drummer, Justin Wharton. The album was recorded in the summer of 2008 with Doug White of Watchmen Studios, and has travelled extensively across the globe (in blogspots and Lockportian/Scandinavian mixing consoles) before crystallizing into this incarnation. We look forward to sharing it with you soon. Endless thanks to those of you who have waited nearly three years for this release and shown us extraordinary patience and support in the process. We'll be participating in an interview with Logan of HearwaxMedia.com prior to the official release.

..Metal Review...... "With The Goliath, Orgone have succeeded on virtually every level. The sheer technicality on display is enough to get your head spinning, but vitally, it's balanced out with strong, confident songwriting and a deft emotional punch.".... ..Heathen Harvest...... "...I need to make this absolutely clear: If you are a fan of technical death metal, metal with heart, complex compositions, destructive atmospheres, intelligent and thoughtful music, or anything of the surrounding areas, this is a release you HAVE to support. There aren't nearly enough artists today paying this much attention to every note-specific detail, having the courage to push boundaries to this extent, to openly fight the scene on their own and push their art like Orgone is doing today. Do you want good music, REAL music to come out over top of the absolute joke that labels have been putting out lately? Then this is an album that you have to purchase.".... ..Nocturnal Cult.. (UK).... "Orgone...take straight-forward death metal and then twist it and splinter it in ways that are both breathtaking and dramatic...nestling in all the dark crevices of your mind before smashing them into powder through sheer power. Each of the six songs on their self-financed debut, The Goliath, makes a personal connection with the listener. Just solid songs that are rippling with strength and flashes of soulful anguish.".... ..Sea of Tranquility...... "Conventional isn't really a word you would associate in any way with the music and themes covered on the self financed debut The Goliath from Pennsylvania based outfit Orgone...the plot thickens somewhat when you get your first look at the abstract lyrics included in the liner notes, penned by guitarist Stephen Jarrett and vocalist Christian Senrud. Then there's the actual music, which is a merciless onslaught of sheer technical brilliance, at least as far as Jarrett's guitar work is concerned. In many ways his style is representative and rooted in the early players of the extreme math metal movement. When you couple that with the multitude of tempo changes, a staggering array of pummeling blast beats, and Senrud's throat shredding vocals on these chorus free tracks, you come to the realization that Orgone's sound is quite unique, and anything but predictable. Fans of extreme metal will appreciate what Orgone is going for on this brutally intense and superbly crafted opening statement..... ..Crucial Blast...... "This death metal band from Pittsburgh blew me away when I caught them at a VFW hall show in Hagerstown last year - I had never heard of Orgone, but from the first thirty seconds of their set, I was totally hooked. The insane, sweeping guitar arpeggios and fucked up, inverted riffing from the band's lone guitar player knocked my goddamn socks off; the rhythm section laid down machinegun blasts of hyperspeed blastbeats, abrupt time signature changes and jarring shifts into grooving, crushing sludge; and the singer lunged and twitched, emitting awesome gutteral roars over the chaotic shred and blast. I was immediately reminded of a more youthful, hardcore-tinged version of Gorguts.".... ..Scene Point Blank...... "Perhaps the most endearing aspect of The Goliath is the conceptual story told by the lyrics. The lyrical team... has constructed a storyline that rivals that of some of literature's most adept minds.".... ..The Apparatus...... "The words of Orgone seem to be abstract descriptive stories with vast metaphors. Their forward-thinking music is accompanied by forward-thinking views...Orgone is completely unique.".... "There is rarely a moment when the guitarist isn't stringing together an insane amount of notes that create a kind of minor key whirlwind that also happens to be really melodic at the same time. It's hard to follow and very obscure at times, but it's so interesting to listen to as well as being completely rooted in its own dimension...You won't find gore ballads or odes to dying here. Lyrics are odd and poetic...There is a strange essence to the band; it's thoroughly rooted in the technical death metal prevalent in the early 90s, but it has the forward-thinking mentality and execution of some of the best technical and post-modern bands of today. Orgone seems to want to create a new type of extreme music" .... ..Noktorn...... "There's an incredible level of CONTENT... just in the fucking insane number of notes and fully developed ideas present; this is way beyond what most musicians would be able to think up over the course of several albums, typically...they're unclassifiable not because they try to be, but because their sound is just so in the thick of all sorts of extreme music. It feels like it was built from the ground up as music first and adhering to a genre last; it's merely coincidence that it happens to have taken a death/grind form...There's something about this music that sets it above others of the same style, and I'm still trying to figure out what that is.".... ..Bloodchamber.. (Germany).... "A really convincing first stroke...ORGONE connect each form of extreme metal into an often desolate, stratified, nevertheless homogeneous sound that occupies the extreme area of modern, progressive American Death Metal, but is also unafraid of incorporating Mathcore, Blackmetal and doom"..... ..Metal Archives...... "Some words I'd use to describe it are: unique, technical, atmospheric, organic. Orgone blend tight technical musicianship with great atmosphere which, as a result, sounds kinda organic. I feel like everything flows perfectly."
