62 Doors was started by a small group of artists in the summer of 2005. The walls consist of doors salvaged from an old barn and also from the top floor of the Artmain building. These walls are where the name "62 Doors Gallery and Studios" originated.
62 Doors has 10 individual studio spaces with 9 renters,a printmaking/art facilities studio, a gallery, a commons area with a kitchen and living room.
Studio renters work in a collaborative effort to put together gallery exhibitions with receptions that are open to the public. We typically get about 75 to 100 people at opening receptions.
Who I'd like to meet: Artists, art lovers, crafters, musicians, poets, performers, dreamers, movers and shakers
Pangea is starting a newspaper... in ballpark of the high plains reader.. minus newspapery print.. we're interested in finding folks who would like to write articles or submit short stories poems recipes stuff for the classified section advertisements comic strips etc. almost anything goes.. the idea being showcasing local, downtown, awesomeness....there will be sections called:
FREECYCLE/ CLASSIFIEDS SCENE REPORT--- which I'm particularly interested in articles on-- the father son and holy smokes and the I apparatus tours-- diabolic octopus recording--- rock the leaves off the trees... anyone interested in submitting an article on this or any other aspect of this world is welcome...
