Formed in the summer of 2005, '63 Burnout quickly pieced together a set and immediately started gigging. The band recorded a 5-track demo that November simply titled "'63 Burnout" and continued to play shows around the Seattle area. In September of 2006, bassist Jim Freeman joined original members Thom Beckman (guitar) and Rodd Karp (drums) to complete the current lineup.
The band's new record, "Trouble At The Speedway", was recorded in the Spring of 2007 at Studio Litho in Seattle. Featuring 14 instrumental tracks, it takes the band's rockabilly and surf influences and combines them with various hot-rod, television, and arena-rock themes.
