A native of rural Texas, John Howard is a veteran, in demand Nashville bassist with over 20 years experience on "Music Row". Since relocating to Nashville from Austin where he got his start, John has appeared on hundreds of recordings, television shows and tour dates all over the world. Major acts John has toured, recorded and/or performed with include: Faith Hill, Richard Marx, Randy Owen (Alabama), Randy Travis, Lee Greenwood, Olivia Newton John, Alice Cooper, Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Vince Gill, Cliff Richard, Kenny Rogers, Jewel, Hank Williams Jr., Billy Squire, Matt Scannell (Vertical Horizon), Fee Waybill (The Tubes), Phil Vassar, John Elefante (Kansas) and he is also a member of the band Sixwire. Television appearances include the Grammy's, Billboard Awards, ACM Awards, CMA Awards, VH-1 Divas, VH-1 Behind the Music, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Letterman, The Tonight Show, Fox Search for the Next Great American Band and was in the house band for CMT's Can You Duet, Nashville Star on USA Network and is currently in the house bandNext CMT Superstar. In addition, John also is a frequent reviewer/contributor to Bass Frontiers magazine. -
