It is early 09 and I am finally getting an update posted here… Here's a quick rundown: I am a native Texan, born in Plainview (up in the panhandle), and I was raised in Texas, Arizona and Nebraska, where my folks still live. I graduated college with a music/business degree and set off for Austin to play music, with the degree to fall back on. Well thats been over 20 years, and I havent had to get a real job yet (knock wood). I kicked around Austin for a while, played with some really cool bands there and did a lot of session work too. I then left for Nashville and after I got settled there, spent some great years on the road. I have done extensive touring with Faith Hill, Richard Marx, Randy Owen, Randy Travis, Phil Vassar, Lee Greenwood, Rodney Atkins, Chely Wright and of course, Sixwire. On these tours, I have played virtually every major arena and stadium in the US and Canada. I have also played shows with a whole bunch of others; topping that list would be Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Vince Gill, Cliff Richard, Kenny Rogers, Jewel, Bret Michaels and Hank Jr. I have had the good fortune of playing on a ton of big TV shows including the Grammys, Billboard Awards, ACMs, CMAs, VH-1 Divas, VH-1 Behind the Music, The Today Show, Good Morning America, David Letterman, The Tonight Show, Can You Duet and Nashville Star. In 2000, my best friends and I formed a band called the Remnants which we then renamed Sixwire. We signed with Warner Bros, and released a self titled CD in 2002. We left WB at the end of 2003 and began writing songs for a new Sixwire project. We were almost finished with a new album when in the fall of 2007, we were chosen to compete on the Fox/American Idol TV show "The Next Great American Band". Out of 10,000 bands that initially auditioned, we went on to finish 2nd, appearing in every episode, till the very end. I also spent 3 seasons in the band for Nashville Star on USA Network, and Sixwire is currently the house band for the CMT show “Can You Duet”. In addition to Sixiwre, I also stay very busy touring with Richard Marx and Randy Owen, recording sessions and writing songs. Thanks so much for stopping by!
