Nsekt is one piece of the puzzle that makes the Portuguese Bass scene, being present on the uprising of the Underground and keeping it’s strength until present days.

Better known as a reference Drum & Bass DJ, his work on the multitude of Bass genres prove him as a all terrain producer, ranging from Breakbeat heavy dance tunes to DubStep experimental dark grooves.


During the past decade he signed some marking releases under the name of Plaster, such as the BadMood vs Shake 12”, which, alongside with Alex FX previous releases, where the first ever vinyl presses of Drum & Bass music.

Since then Nsekt as signed a fair amount of tunes packed in compilations under diverse names, special mention to ChillFado vol.1 and his latest remixes for Kumpania Algazarra and Blasted Mechanism’s remix project Blast-U.


Out of he’s latest musical skin oNSALe, Nsekt steps out of the DJ booth with two killer tunes, out on the 14th of June, downloaded specially to fill your subs with sounds of the Portuguese Underground.

    > Nsekt is a well known and regular name in the portuguese bass dedicated nights, addicted to the dark side of Drum'n'Bass and the more Urban-Wise face of Breakbeat and new arising genre of DubStep... Since 2001 (year of his co-foundation of the BadMood Collective) this DJ as passed by the decks of all the main clubs of Portugal, such as the Hard Club, Porto Rio, the mythical Meia-Cave, Dommus, Kremlin, Sound Planet, Tuatara, Alc�ntara-Mar, Rocks, L�tus klub, Mar�-Alta, Looks, LX Factory, as well as maintaining a regular presence all over Europe in clubs like Berliner's Pfefferbank, RAW-Temple and ACUD, London's NHAC, Valencia's Repvblicca, the famous Sardinia's Sun' n' Bass Festival among many other international underground events... Nsekt's sets are strongly dance floor oriented, taking you thru a cross-genre voyage over quality tunes produced by a wide range of artists. His furious work and uptempo musical personality led him to play along side world wide recognizable names like Goldie, Black Sun Empire, Audio, The Sect, Dinis, Mampy Swift, Shy FX, Robyn Chaos, Fabio, Moving Fusion, Clipz, Nuno Forte, Invaderz, GrooveRider, Alif, etc., etc...... As a producer and musician was part of bands like LDX (punk), 20p�s8 (reggae Dub), of electronic projects like the experimental cross-genre Plaster works, the dance floor freak project oNSALe and the ChillFado live band, where he remixed the Fado's Diva Mariza song "O Deserto" into a dubby etno groove.
