well i am a 24 year old mature student at manchester university doing geology. the summer just gone i wanted to make a difference hence the title www.justgiving.com/paddleaid. I kayaked the full length of england for an event that i called paddleaid. I did this to raise to date £3000 supplying 200 people in the third world with water for the rest of their lives. In doing so I also set a world first and a world record for the longest distance ever kayaked solo. However this is not enough! Paddleaid is now officially its own event in support of water aid with donations continously being needed to make a difference. To do this I want more people to get involved and do there own variations on paddleaid to raise money even if it is just paddle some lengths in a pool remeber it may not be much to you but £15 provides one person with water for ever!!!! I will also be kayaking for 24 hours solid this January in another world record attempt in order to raise more money and awareness before the launch of PaddleAid 2007, a trek accross Canada. all your support is needed and appreciated so please help me to help others that need it most. Messages of support and donations will be much appreciated and now can be done at the official paddleaid website http://www.paddleaid.org.uk other than that what else can i say i am an outdoors guy into climbing, kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, surfing, snowboarding and anything else that keeps me outdoors and out of trouble
