About me:
If there's one thing I hope people say about me it's that I'm kind to everyone and I'm always fun to be around. I take genuine interest in getting to know others and my friends and acquaintances make my life so much richer. I enjoy any excuse to go out and have fun with friends.

There are some things I enjoy without limitation: adventure, travel, and learning. I can't say I'm an extreme sport enthusiast, but I do love anything that gets your adrenaline going and there's not many adventure type things I wouldn't try at least once. I especially like anything on the water, rock climbing and rappelling, camping and hiking, and, finally, I just got to go skydiving for the first time.

I love traveling because it's the most amazing way to really understand the world. You can read about foreign places until there's nothing left to read, but you'll never connect with people from the other side of the world until you go there and experience life as they do.

Here's where I've been and where I plan to go:

I was raised in a Christian home like most people in America. As I've grown up, I have come to accept that I have some unresolved (and probably unresolvable) differences with many of the more dogmatic practitioners of Christianity. I see too many people wield the Bible like a weapon to hurt and divide people. Since traveling to southeast Asia, I've gained a deep interest and respect for Buddhism.

I have an endless curiosity about nearly everything, so I like to read a lot. My Amazon wish list is a mile long. I try to read a different book every week or two. I guess this helps me some when I'm at Flying Saucer on trivia night.

I enjoy cooking and eathing healthy, staying fit, and working out. I used to do it simply because I enjoy it, but now that I'm over 30, I'm so thankful that I enjoy it because it would be hard to stay in shape otherwise. Things really do change after 30.

I am a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Tambien, hablo espanol, pero no perfecto. Me gustaria encontrar hispanohablantes para practicar. Me gusta mucho la idioma y quiero viajar mas en suramerica (he estado a Peru en mayo '05), asi que necesito practicar.

Who I'd like to meet:
I put this page up mostly to keep in touch with people who I've known and no longer live nearby. It's also a good way to reconnect with people you've lost touch with and haven't seen in years.

I'm also interested in meeting new people around Nashville who like athletic and adventurous things, going out on the weekends, seeing live music, browsing a bookstore, having a long lunch in Hillsboro Village, or taking a spontaneous road trip. I enjoy having wideranging open-ended conversation about cultures, politics, social policy, religion/spirituality, art, travel, sports (mostly NFL football) & food and wine.

If you're someone I know already but haven't seen in a while, definitely send me a friend request. I'd like to keep in touch.

If you're someone I don't know, send me a message before a friend request. If you're into music, photography, writing, or travel and just want to chat about it, send me a note and introduce yourself.

Typically, I don't venture too far out of my own little neighborhood here in Nashville to socialize, much less get out to the far off burbs, so if you live off somewhere where the zip code isn't 372-something, don't be offended if I'm not quick to respond.

Awwww, you are far too sweet. Sadly, there was no bidding war for yours truly, although that would've certainly giving me some bragging rights. =)

Lol. Yup, i am a loser, but not necessarily for missing Becky's Going Away Party, just in general. Actually, i spent last week in Cali/Lake Tahoe visiting family and getting a few days of skiing in. How was it?

Todd I checked out your website and your photos are amazing! I am so jealous of all your travels. I have been to Thailand 3 times but have never been to Northern Thailand and the places you've visited - looks like it was an amazing experience.

OMG! How cool you went skydiving... That is something that I always wanted to do.. I did not know there is a place in TN that you can go...

Hey Todd!
That's so awesome that you went skydiving! I went skydiving at that place - but it's been 2 years ago! I am really wanting to go again, I have been dying to, actually! Definitely go again, the first time, I think I couldn't fully process it. The second time, it's much scarier (in the plane) and much more exhilirating through the fall. :) LOVE IT! As they say, "Blue Skies!"
