I love music. Like love, love music. Like if I could fuck music I'd be in heaven. My tastes know almost no boundaries. As long as an artist touches some part of my soul, psyche, heart, left pinky, you know ... I will probably at least give it a chance. Genres really don't matter, except for christian rock, and overproduced fake pop, and a few others. A few of my absolute faves are Diamanda Galas, Madonna, Kristin Hersh, COncrete BLonde, Mary Gauthier, Bauhaus, Mary Gauthier, Emmylou Harris, BOngwater/Ann Magnuson, Laurie Anderson, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Erykah Badu, Tribe Called Quest, I coul go on and on and on but I think that gives a good scope of range
NEW ADDITIONS!!!!! the NEW GRACE JONES!!!!- Hurricane. , finally after like 15 fukin years we get a new set of music fro this amamzing woman. ANd it is awesome. go to her page on this site and watch the video for 'Corporate Cannibal" Its one of the most brilliant videos I have EVER seen. Also Nouvelle Vague (french band that does covers of mostly 80's new wave/punk type song, only they are change d to a lounge style. Think Too drunk to Fuck meets Astrud Gilberto (a song that is on the album) The new Tricky ! Again a loooooong wait, but well, well worth it. He is still trip hop, but updating the sound a bit here and there. There there area afew new ones! Enjoy!
Movies
Same as with music. ADORE movies. All diferent types. Old movies are a passion. Art films (as long as they arent long british and overly wordy) The new Batman "THe Dark Knight" is , I think, the best film so far this year. Usually I wouldn't adore a hollywood action piece so much, but this movie functions on many many levels, and gives those of us who are cerebral somtehing to ponder. Plus the cinematography is amazing. I am a worshipper at the altar of Hitchcock. A few of my top all time greats, "Wild at Heart" (David Lynch's best by far), Psycho, Suddenly Last Summer, To Kill a Mockingbird, ALien , Blade Runner, Waiting for Guffman, there thats enuf...

I admit it. I like, sometimes love TV. I know "intelligent" people arent supposed to, but fuck that. Some faves right now are, Family Guy (the original ones), Dexter, Cold Case, Six Feet Under, Judge Judy, Andy Griffith, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore Show, hopefully Heroes will redeem itself this season, ANthony Bourdain:No Reservations, I've Got a Secret...there thts enuf of that one

A country preacher decided to skip services one Sunday and head to the hills to do some bear hunting. As he rounded the corner on a perilous twist in the trail, he and a bear collided, sending him and his rifle tumbling down the mountainside. Before he knew it, his rifle went one way and he went the other, landing on a rock and breaking both legs. That was the good news. The bad news was the ferocious bear charging at him from a distance, and he couldn’t move. “Oh, Lord,” the preacher prayed, “I’m so sorry for skipping services today to come out here and hunt. Please forgive me and grant me just one wish…please make a Christian out of that bear that’s coming at me. Please, Lord!”

It's amazing as you move through life how much stuff one can aquire..When you move you realize just how much ..Is life a giant pile of things we store and collect?..Things we feel we had to have..For our homes..For our yards..For our garages and basements..For our attics and closets...And do we own our things?..Or do they own us?..As we drag our belongings everywhere we go through our lives..Only to let it all go in one huge sweep when we learn to let go..Letting go is very freeing and decluttering your life can be an experience and a lesson unto which i have learned that...The most important things in life ..Are not things...So let it go and scatter it to the winds to become someones priceless treasure that will bring a smile and happiness to someone who needs..Knowing you made someones dwelling a santuary in their eyes and gave them a place to rest in comfort ..And filled their home with warmth and love Have a most beautiful week and may you always have great happiness
People come into your life for a REASON, a SEASON or a LIFETIME. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real.
