What's up everyone? I hope everyone is getting jacked about us getting back together for Vexfest 5!!! We are soooo fucking excited that this worked out, and that we will have the honor and privilege of playing for all you crazy mother fuckers again. It's been a long time coming, Youngstown, but we finally decided that it was time to do this. We are back for the 5th installment of the festival that we helped create, and we promise to deliver the biggest and baddest Vexfest to date. For all of you who have never heard Cyrus, and for those die hards who have worn out your Cyrus merch, we WILL have CD's, Shirts, Posters, etc..... and for this special occasion, ONE lucky fan will leave Vexfest with Bobby's famous 714 guitar!!! This guitar is/was a huge staple behind the pulverizing sound you hear on the record, and at the live shows. The guitar will be played on stage that night, so if you like what you hear, put your name in the hat. This show will be your chance to score an $800 Ibanez guitar. I think I heard raffle tickets will only be $2 each. The band is counting the days until they are home and rocking together again. Do the guys a favor and continue to show your love and support. All the messages are read by the boys, and really do mean a lot. The support after all of these years is truly overwhelming. Cyrus formed in 2000, taking one of the areas predominant bands and adding a fresh feel of 2 distinct vocals. Within months Cyrus had emerged as one of the areas "TO SEE" live acts, with pulverizing moshpits on the floor to a high energy stage show where no member of the band stopped moving.
In 2001 the band sparked one of youngstowns premier events Vexfest, a festival idea spawned between members of the band and Fred Rafidi, owner of a club that the band frequented. Cyrus headlined the show and the festival would return for two more years.
Playing some high profile gigs in Omaha, Austin and NYC led these boys to become the 2 band to look out for in 2002 by Alternative press magazine.
After losing and replacing one too many members, the machine of Cyrus slowed down and called it quits in late 2003.

Cyrus, among other acts, has been cited for reviving the youngstown music scene and helped create it for what it is today.

Its impressive to see the love and respect that all of you still have! It warmed the hearts to all of the fans..i was soo happy i got to spend time with you all i wouldn't have traded it for the world. The set was amazing and you guys were amazing. To say that it was a success would be an understatement!

What can I say boys? You absolutely Rocked the stage and won the hearts of all your fans all over again. Your performance was awesome and everyone had more fun than we even imagined. I had so much fun hanging out with all of you guys all week at my house. I just want to say I'm F'n proud to call you guys "My Boys". I Love you guys! You'll always be Welcome at the 420 house!
Wow! The BEST performence ever. No one can ever top this performence from Cyrus. The moshpit was off the f-ing hook. The band was just great and it was nice to see them together. I got to talk to Donny's brother Tony because my brother and I met him before while working for their dad and he was cool. This show was just off it. As soon as Cyrus was ready everybody, no matter what they were doing ran over to the stage and started to get f*cking hyped. I'm pretty sure that they said that this was their last show I couldn't hear beacuse I was just so pumped and I was like 10 feet away from the stage and I really couldn't hear sh*t. Chin was just crazy. But it was nice to see them together again, When Bill was hugging Chin that showed you how much love they all had for each other and it was nice to see that because they were like brothers. I'm only 14 and my brother is 21 and this is probably their only show well ever see but it was nice because were really big fans of theirs and it was always cool listen to my sister tell us about she use to go to all their shows around Youngstown and tell us about how the moshpit was and wanting to expierence for ourselves but thought we would never get a chance but we did and I can say that it was wort the wait. I didn't get to congratulate any of the band members because my brother had to work at 7 in the morning, but I just wanted to say congratulations, good show, thank you for playing and good luck with their future. I'll probably tell them on their myspaces or in person if I ever get the chance but in case I don't i did. So Thank You Cyrus. And hopefully we can get just one more show but if not this one was the Best.
