Mitch Herrick and Chris Monteleone met in May of 2002 at a small open-mike venue in Fort Lauderdale. The two instantly connected and began playing the South Florida bar scene for the next three years. They gained the popularity of a Tuesday night crowd at a local blues venue in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Over the course of his music career Mitch Herrick has had the opportunity to share the stage with some exceptional musicians such as the Gin Blossoms, Bottle of Justus, Sosos, Terry Catlin, Brendan O'Hara and the Humble Ones, the Swinging Love Hammers, and the Heavy Pets.
In early 2007 Kerry Monteleone, Chris's brother, joined them on Bass along with Manuel Arteaga on Percussion. Thus, SIX DAYS SOBER was born.
SIX DAYS SOBER focuses on roots-rock (a combination of blues, folk and Americana rock music). The songs have a solid jazz undertone, but have an added acoustic element. They are upbeat, earthy and soulful.
The band is currently in the studio producing their first album which will be released to the public in late December of 2008.
