Not much to say. I've been playing bass off and on since I was 12 or 13 years old. I was playing in the Grinnell Middle School jazz band when a bass player position opened up, and I was intrigued. I had been playing bari sax, but I loved the sound of the bass. I begged and begged my parents to buy me a bass, and finally they broke down and took me to a local music store and bought me my first bass, a Fender Standard Jazz bass. I still have and love that bass.
I played bass at Celina High School from my Sophomore year till I graduated, picking up the String Bass in my Junior year. I then went on to major in Jazz Studies at Bowling Green State University, but at the time, I wasn't ready for the workload that music required.
I made a few transitions here and there, and finally ended up in Dayton, OH where I am today. I will be re-auditioning for Music school at Wright State this fall to hopefully finish my degree, but during that time I am currently playing with the Alec Delphenich Trio (http://myspace.com/alecdelphenic), the Wright State University Jazz Band, and the WSU Jazz Combo. I'm always looking for work, so feel free to email me if you need a bassist.
