"It's great communication by music. I feel words like dresses while music is the naked beauty that speaks by itself. So I feel happy just connecting with what you want to express"

70s Cop formed in 2008 and after a period of discovery of the right sound and song-writing, we have since played a variety of gigs in and around Brighton. We are rapidly increasing our repertoire of tracks, whilst always striving to challenge both ourselves and those who hear our music. This autumn we hope to record a new EP and book some more gigs around the country.
Drummer Rich’s energetic and artistic style provides the basis for the rest of the band to build on. He combines many varied drumming styles, whilst also adding his own individual touches. The drums are complemented by Charlie’s aggressive and adaptive parts, which stray from the normal bass playing stereotypes.
The atmospheric guitar parts provided by Anthony, reminiscent of artists such as Massive Attack and Portishead, coupled with menacing choruses and breakdowns provide the perfect canvas for Ian’s vocals. His emotional hooks hold the ears of audiences before his powerful vocals ring out on parts which sound original, whilst still oddly familiar.
We hope you like our music, leave us a message to let us know what you think, or if myspace is a little 2007 become a fan on facebook
Hope to see you soon at an upcoming gig!

We are finally getting the first issue of our 'zine sorted and have setup a forum to go with it's impending release in December.
Both the 'zine and the forum are for more than just music (although that is a big part of what we're about), we will be covering art, film, books, in fact pretty much anything and everything that is underground or alternative.
Have a look at the forum, sign up, start promoting your projects, band, writing, etc and join in the discussions.
