Sooo many. doing physics (aka being a big geek), taking walks, hiking, Manchester and London, playing my guitar, music (except modern country), bad Kung fu movies, stars (the kind in the sky), foreign films, teaching and tutoring, reading when ever I get the chance, Earl Grey with one lump of sugar and milk, art of all kinds, staring contest with my wall (I haven't beaten it yet), speeling mistakes, and doing dishes.
Music
All right, a sampling of the music I like. Neutral Milk Hotel (such a great band), Weezer, Ben Folds Five, The Unicorns, Reel Big Fish, Leviticus and his Monkey, Gold Finger, NOFX, Coco Rosie, Mustard Plug, Long Shot Hero, The Aquabats, Damien Rice, Mozart (he's my boy), Dead Milkmen, Dead Kennedys, Yes, Pink Floyd, Drop Kick Murphys, Joanna Newsome, Defiance Ohio, Handel, Mendelson, Flogging Molly, MXPX, The Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, The Clash, The Fiery Furnaces, Tsunami Bomb, Lazy Sunday, The Decemberists, Four on the Floor, Gang of Four, The Flaming Lips, Devendra Banhart, The Be Good Tanyas, Billy Holiday, Art Tatum, Arcade Fire, and much much more.
Movies
Here are the Top moveis of all time that you must watch (no exception). Goonies, Starwars (4, 5, and 6), The Princess Bride, A very long Engagement, and Plan Nine From Outer Space. If you have not seen these movies I suggest you run out in any old attire and rent them.
Television
For the most part I despise TV, I but do watch The Daily Show which probably has the best news coverage in the world. Then there are cartoons, anything from the classics to Family Guy (new episode may 1...wooo), the Simpsons, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Futureama, and what ever cartoon network decides to play at midnight.
Books
Anything by Stephen Hawking, David Sedaris, and Notstume Soseki. "Leaves of Grass" by my boy Walt Whitman. Everyone should read "The Time Travellers Wife." I have just polished off three Updike novels in the past two weeks: I can't get enough of his writing. Recommend any thing to me and I will read it. From Dr. Seuss to T. S. Eliot, It dosn't matter to me.
Heroes
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority; the Rat Pack, James Clerk Maxwell; Sammie Ree, Mikie D, and Bobby B; the Ming Dynasty; and people not afraid to mix skim and whole milk
About me: Well, lets see, where to start? I like being a nerd. I like playing odd board games with close friends until 3AM. I am fascinated by things extremely small and extremely large (and most things in between). I like knowing how things work. I love the water, though, I must confess, I hate to swim. I love to learn. I love how flowers smell. I dislike dinner parties. I love to read, and I do it religiously. I drink tea more than coffee. I like staring out my office window. I really like my job. I want to go to graduate school. I like solar cells, and windmills, and roof top gardens. I love to bake bread. I hate to run but I love to ride my bike. I love bad kung fu flicks. I love to sing. I like making people laugh. I wear glasses and like it. Some day I want to get in my car and drive to Alaska. I hate watching sports on TV. I have never been good at Mario and I can barely get past the first level. I am usually quiet and let other people talk. I like small concerts in Boston. I want to live in a tree house someday.
