About me: I have a PhD in marine science and I spent about 10 years doing cool stuff like diving to the bottom of the ocean in submersibles and looking at weird and wonderful creatures. Work brought me to the USA and I enjoyed a couple of great years on the beach in Florida, before meeting my wonderful husband, Jack, in the Azores (in the middle of the Atlantic). Quit marine science when I got pregnant: had TJ in December 2003 and can't believe he's already 4 years old. Moved from New Jersey to Florida to Tennessee in the last 8 years - and are very happy where we are now! I am currently working for the State of Tennessee, Department of Agriculture...also managing the Franklin Farmers' Market. We moved back out to the country in September and I am enjoying every minute working on our mini-farm and adding to our menagerie. Jack now has a publishing deal - and gets to write songs full-time. Still waiting for that #1 song...but getting MUCH closer...Life is good!
