I work at the Culver Public Library in the bowels of the basement in the computer lab, babysitting both computers and patrons. In my spare (yeah right) time I make my dolls. Dolls....I create them, I think about them at strange times..3 in the morning, driving...I love to try for interesting things to create.
And yes I sell my dolls too....I find myself waking up at 3 in the morning dreaming up a new doll and the next 2 hours thinking about how to make it. Ok so I am obsessed with it
and also yes....I am a grandma and mom and wife...my family are the most important ones in my life

Music
I love music of all kinds...including bagpipes. I think the only type of music I dont care for (besides yoddling) is very hard acid type music. If you cant tap your foot to the beat then it is not music.
Classical to Pogues
The old crooners...Sanatra, Dean Martin...etc.
Big Band, some Jazz...as long as I can hum to it then it is good.
Beatles...Monkeys...Beach Boys...Mama's and the Papa's
You list them and I probably love them
<I am very open about music. I listen to everything from the classical, bagpipe, big band and on through to some of the heavier and loud stuff. I dont care much for music you cannot keep a beat with ...such as some of the stranger Jazz or the acid rock kind of stuff
Movies
I will watch movies from the silents to modern but I stop at the Texas Chainsaw crap. I am not into blood splattering, brain smashing movies. I have been watching lots of kids movies lately since we have the grandkids over a lot.
Television
Well the new Doctor Who has come back on the tube so that is a biggie. I watch quite a lot of history, science and many of the BBC shows on BBC America. Bones, House, CSI, Two and a Half Men
Books
I am constantly reading...if I am not sewing. I read so many different books and my likes have changed over the years. I was so into the fantasy for quite awhile and have now grown into mysteries. I don't like love stories...such a waste of time. I have tons of non-fiction books. The local library is my place for books...why do people always forget you can get good books there.
Heroes
My family...that is a no brainer. I also find people that keep fighting against huge odds are my huge heroes. People are called heroes now days at the drop of a hat and are not true heroes, such as the people in the Twin Towers are listed under heroes....why? People get get labeled hero when they should be labeled victim.my soldier boy NathanMy dad and mom ...all my kids and husband (he has put up with me all these years)

About me: About me? I am a middle aged grandma....I got on this Myspace thingy a few years ago to be able to chat with my kids in Maine and Iraq (when Nathan is not in Colorado with his family). I have 3 kids and 8 grandkids. This idea of going on Myspace upset my daughter because I have invaded her space (I live to make my kids lives miserable, just as other parents do).
My husband and I live in northern Indiana, about 2 hours from Chicago, on 3 acres.
I am here for friendship and that is all. I am a bit crazy at times, which the grandkids love. I have been known to dress up with a granddaughter in princess crowns and jewels and go out to eat...yes at a nice restaurant...and get others enjoying the idea. Krazy Grandma
I am also starting up Rural Ruins Photography. I go around the rural areas of Indiana (and eventually further) photographing deserted homes, schools, farms and other buildings. I also photograph old rusted out cars that have been left to Mother Nature, usually in the middle of woods or in fields. The photography thing has become very important to me and I am looking for a grant at this time to continue it. To top it all off I only photo during late Autumn and early spring....it's usually freezing cold when I venture out on my crazy ruin hunts.

Just thought I'd 'call to say I love you' - that's a song - and all that bollerix and to wish you a Jolly Yuletide, a Merry Christmas, Good Hannakah or whatever rocks your boat.
All the best to you and the big guy. Love and hugs from the mad Englishwoman and her toyboy. xxx
