About me: Married to a fantastic, fun and loving husband and step-mom to two intelligent and enthusiastic kids...mother to one quirky beagle (who has healed from the ruptured disc so well that she can now jump on furniture again...which is also now against the rules...yikes!). I love to cook and bake. I'm currently learning how to sew in my free time...that I have very little of but try my best to use it wisely. That is SO AWESOME! I'd be DRAGGING my husband's butt on over there and MAKING him fix it! Actually I am sure that Ryan would want it badly too..so he'd go over there and attempt to fix it, he has NO IDEA what he's doing though! All of those pictures are cute and fun! Sorry I didn't comment on more!
Well, it's here...hope you got the zebra costume finished! This year, my favorite costume tool was white duct tape! :) Michaela is a "SWAT person," John is a Navy pilot (thank God for Goodwill!!), and Colton is a policeman. Growing up, I was always the "pattern cutter outer" and pinned them to the fabric, but mom always sewed. I swore I'd never sew when I grew up, but about 5 years ago I really wanted to make a quilt, so I bought a sewing machine and, since patterns were on sale, a few of them, and I've been sewing ever since!
Hey! How's the costume sewing goin? I made the kids' theirs the year before last. Fortunately, this year, they want to be stuff that we can use "props" and regular clothes. I LOVE that idea! It's different! And Zebra, that will be difficult. You will have to take a picture! I'm the usual! Silas is wearing hand me down Blues Clue since he can fit into it and he's only 5 months old, so he doesn't care. And LaJon wanted to be Buzz Lightyear or Woody from Toy Story, and luckily we found a buzz costume at Target. We wanted to get him a super cute outfit, but at this age, no point. He still doesn't totally get Halloween yet. Although, he's more into it than the last 2 years! Obviously!
WHOA, I think you just shocked my system and freaked me out! Just kidding...wow...that would be cool to do that. Do some for the boys' tee-shirts or something. I'll check into that, thanks!

WOW, that is motivation! My friend Beth tried teaching me to crochet, and it was a b-day gift or Christmas gift. Yah, after 3 hours of still not getting past 2 loops, I was like SCREW THIS! I'm NOT meant for it! But my grandma Rose taught me WAY back in the day, like 5th grade to cross stitch. I liked that then...maybe get back into it now?!
That is a nice pillow. I need to learn to sew too. I can't even do a button...and w/ two boys, not to mention Ryan AND myself...I really need to learn!

You know, you might have told me that...and dummy me...I forget! That's funny though! I'd be all bragging, I WENT TO VEGAS..nm!!!! It's funny! Either way, that is fun to go new places! I LOVE doing that! I'm hoping to get out before summer ends and do something fun, like Mt. Rushmore or something. Ryan has never been. Fam is good. Silas is getting HUGE! He's in 6mo clothing, and he just turned 2 mo! He's not fat, but a brut, and SUPER TALL! It's insane. Thank GOD I kept LaJon's clothes, hand-me-downs are awesome. LaJon is good, but not sleeping, didn't go to bed until 4am last night...rough times!
