Acid-laced pop Sunfields are the brain child of Jason Kent. The band features x- members of Kandle, The Dears, Tricky Woo, Soft Canyon... Songs lean hazily on imagery, disarming melodies, moody instrumentation and simple instrumentation. Their debut album, Palace in the Sun, once described as "the most overlooked album of 2010" is still gaining slow but sure attention. Released in 2010 (Field Recordings) , was recorded in the tiny rural village of Pitsford, located some 60 miles north of London, England, and was finished at Mountain City Studios in Montreal. Sunfields are gearing up for their second full blown European tour, late Spring 2013. Wilma Rudolph was born prematurely at 4.5 lbs., the 20th of 22 siblings; Rudolph contracted infantile paralysis (caused by the polio virus) at age 4. She recovered, but wore a brace on her left leg and foot (which had become twisted as a result) until she was 9.
Wilma Rudolph was considered the FASTEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD in the 1960s and competed in two Olympic Games, in 1956 and in 1960.
In the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome Rudolph became the first American woman to win 3 GOLD MEDALS in track and field during a single Olympic Games.
