Haitian made his debut in Burlington almost four years ago and has since then risen quickly through the ranks and become a cornerstone in the Burlington, VT party scene. Alongside the 2K Deep Crew, he has helped mastermind some of BTV's most successful and legendary club events and outlaws in recent history. Being asked to support countless international and national touring bands and DJs from across the electronic music spectrum has helped him nurture a deep respect for many different types of music. This versatility is unmistakably reflected during his eclectic sets, as he seamlessly jumps from one style to the next, guiding the crowd through a multitude of genres. .. 2009 was a very productive year for Haitian. He DJ'd at over 60 different shows along the east coast, including two separate appearances at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, FL, and as a featured artist at the festival Camp Bisco 8 in upstate New York. With the 2K Deep Crew, he produced numerous, extremely successful, sell out events in Burlington, VT. On top of balancing a full schedule of DJ performances with event promotion and production, Haitian holds three current residencies as well. For over a year he has done the booking and promotion for a Saturday night weekly called Envy at the Green Room in Burlington, VT, which showcases local and regional DJs of many different styles. For over two years now, he has spun live on the Internet radio station jungletrain.net every Thursday on his show called The Cesspool. January will mark the beginning of his next monthly endeavor, in association with Budweiser and Nexus Artist Management, a night called Sunday Night Mass at Club Metronome in Burlington, VT. .. 2010 has already been a successful year for Haitian, with many high profile gigs being booked, such as Starscape 2010, Desiderata 2010, RISE Club in Boston, and Thereapy in Providence. Haitian was handpicked to open for Bassnectar three nights in three cities in April including the House of Blues in Boston. He was asked to open for Infected Mushroom in Burlington, VT in June as well. In February, Haitian founded Party Guy Records with his partner Kuato. Influences
I would describe myself as a musician, focusing on the electronic side of things, but one who loves working with live artists and believes it is crucial to fuse together live and synthesized elements. I don't like genre-whoring and I don't want to be labeled as a DJ or producer that is predictable. I live by the axiom that if something sounds good, I will play it, and if I can make it, I will stand behind it. My past, present, and future influences are to far and wide to be listed here, and some of these I haven't even discovered yet. Musical influence is dynamic; not static in anyway. Maximum respect to those who have, and who will serve as my inspiration.
