For my ratings, I use the Netflix rating system, meaning I bestow my stars based on how much I enjoyed myself whenever I saw the movie. Better put, my ratings are unapologetically the result of anything from the whims of my mood to being particularly annoyed with a lead actor's nasaly voice.
Few things give insomnia a sense of meaning and purpose like hour long TV adventure. Inspired, I have tried to build a tent in my backyard and explore the dark corners of my attic in the middle of the night. ...well, more thought about it: I gave up on both.
the Discovery Channels, Discovery Times, The Daily Show, the NASA channel, C-SPAN, ASUtv, Scrubs, The Colbert Report, Rob & Big
I've gotten hooked on serials, and that includes The OC, Lost, and Gilmore Girls, seasons 1 & 2. I've also had a couple of stints into House and 24. Have any other suggestions?

L. Debard and Aliette

A love story that leads with a steady hand through blameless innocence and disinterested, irreproachable change.
Heath Ledger's 'Dark' Joker looks to be an Oscar wild card
USA Today
It's an uncommon experience to see a character invoked on-screen so wholly that you lose sight of the man assuming the persona. After first seeing him in Brokeback Mountain, Ledger has again arrested my intrigue, as an actor who channeled the art of disappearing without recognition into his parts. His performance bringing the iconic Joker to life in The Dark Knight stole the show. The USA Today ran an article talking about Ledger's performance, the Oscar talk surrounding it, and the entertainment industry's flight habits of awarding praise.

Canadian Citizen Imprisoned By U.S. Speaks Out
Hear Canadian Maher Arar describe his stop off in JFK that led to being shipped by the U.S. to a Syrian prison where he was imprisoned and tortured for a year before being released and cleared of his charges. It's a calmly described firsthand account touching on the U.S. methods of combating Al Qaeda, the nature of intelligence in its war, and the government's routine of using other countries to handle the torture it could not justify openly.

Unhappy Meals
A tight, long article urging people to "eat food, not too much, and mostly plants," detailing the messy and often abusive estrangment of nutrients from foods and the forces producing a diet that would have been largely unrecognizable to our great-great-grandmoms.
Tough DUI law to begin
Another ridiculous abuse of legislation with an "ends justify the means" mentality. Disregarding the loaded diction, here's your dilemma of the day:
"'The biggest argument we kept hearing is it's such an inconvenience for the first-time offender,' Espino said. 'It's either an inconvenience or someone possibly injuring or killing themselves or others. To me, it's no question. Ultimately, it will save lives.'"
Breathtaking Abuse of the Constitution
The Maricopa County Attorney's Office uses an arbitrary law to harass the Phoenix New Times with a grand jury subpoena for detailed records of all traffic on their website over the past few years. This recent article, penned by the magazine's two founders, tells a story that unravels the mess of state politics, where inside favors and the self-preserving abuse of power is commonplace.
Divisive DNA plan nearly law
Should DNA be protected any more than a fingerprint? Lawmakers recently passed a bill saying they don't think so, requiring people arrested for a list of crimes to have DNA taken, regardless of whether they are convicted.

It's always a strange acquaintance seeing a musician in the flesh and blood after so much time spent listening to their albums.
And, please, if you have any videos you think I'd like, let me in on them: post them in my comments section or send them to me. I do enjoy a good internet video and am always looking to add new ones to the gallery.

I know you would appreciate this. I am obsessed with this song by Lady Gaga and I have a new respect for her and her music since I saw this. Listen to this and the real radio track. The difference is amazing. She writes all her songs like this first and then goes in and helps come up with beats and computerizes the songs. I didn't realize how talented she really was.
Hello Matt! Yeah, things are finally slowin down a lil' bit...I've got a few weeks off from school before the fall semester starts which makes things a bit less hectic! Did a film for the 48hr challenge, a UAT project, and this one film with TKH & Deep Murder Productions last month...still gettin things lined up for sept but I think I'll end up doing about three projects this month too...WooHoo...gud times!
So how was Blood Moon? There were a lot of great peeps on that one from what I've heard!!! ;-p
Things are doing well, I just spent the summer back in San Antonio where I was actually working making the desserts for this restaurant. It was pretty exciting to be working in a kitchen consistently.
As for right now, I'm a little worried about my money situation (what college student isn't?) but otherwise I'm doing well here. I've got my own apartment finally and that's very nice.
Don't worry, I don't get out all that much over here either. Well, not like I used to, it's more shows and little hang outs than it is parties. I haven't been to a party in ages. However I am thinking about having a potluck night at some point and you are most definitely invited. I'll keep you posted on that.
New York! You definitely have to come by before then. The trick is to time it when Dominic and I are both there. (It's more fun that way) We keep weird hours, so it really it a trick, but we'll make it happen.
Yes, yes and yes! We're working like crazy little midgets trying to get out of a six foot hole. So, that's nice. In fact, I'm off to hole right now...so....
Happy Thursday, bro! I hope your day is a really swell one!
Hey Matt.....Yes I am in NYC....and I love it! I'd love to kick it while you are visiting. Where are you going to be? Are you coming just for fun?? Gimme a call when you get here!
ha! you may harass. in fact, message me for my # and I'll send your way with the intent to lure to you much much cooler places than LUX. can you believe they exist? they do!
come down...we'll treat you right here downtown :).
NY? AWESOME and jealous. I'm headed to NYC Aug. 29, but only for the weekend. you'll have to tell me about your trip.
Hey Matt! I just wanted to make sure you know how much the Brain loves you. I Dominic and I are extremely happy to have been able to work with you. You're very talented...AND humble. How does that happen?
I hope you're proud of your work on BMR...'cause we absolutely are.
Brian and I just want to thank you for all of you hard work on Blood Moon Rising. You were an absolute joy to work with. You were completely professional and such a hard worker. We respect all of your talents.
Thank you for all of your hard work on our project. It was great getting to know you and hope we can work together really soon.
So it's really weird because you're the name right before my boyfriend's name in my phonebook so whenever I actually look down to get to his number I see yours and think, "hmm...I should talk Matt again. It's been a while and he's a cool guy." I'm finally actually acting on that thought.
