Science, Biology, Great Britain, Classical music, Opera, Politics, Luciano Pavarotti, Joan Sutherland, Marilyn Horne, History, Monty Python, and just about anything else that most normal people think is boring. ..Music
Yes, I like classical. However, I'm a bit picky. I didn't like opera until I started listening to Pavarotti on a whim during my freshman year. Now I'm in love with it. But I still don't like Maria Callas, and I see little-to-no talent in the "up-and-coming" opera singers of today. I'm convinced that Luciano Pavarotti, Joan Sutherland, Marilyn Horne, and Franco Corelli are the greatest opera stars ever. As far as non-opera classical goes, Chopin, Bach, Gershwin, and Grieg are the only composers that I'll listen to anything they wrote. I don't really care for most of Mozart's music. I despise just about anything written after 1918 (when Debussy died), with the exception of Rachmaninoff. And by the way, that recording below was, in fact, me playing the piano. Although Classical is my prefered genre, I'm actually pretty open-minded about music. I'll listen to just about anything so long as there isn't profuse screaming or profanity, and nothing too explicit. ..Movies
I like movies. Just about anything with Mel Gibson, John Wayne, Sean Connery, Michael Caine, or Russel Crowe. I love Star Wars (all 6, even though the first 2 of the newer ones did pretty much stink), Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, Pirates of the Caribbean, Finding Neverland, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and more than I could possibly ever list. ..Television
Books
I couldn't even begin to list them all, but anything by C.S. Lewis, Frank Peretti, Sir Winston Churchill, William Shakespeare, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Mark Twain. ..Heroes
Jesu Cristo, my parents, my grandfather, Ronald Reagan, Sir Winston Churchill, everyone in the United States Armed Forces, and Patrick Taylor..

About me:
The name's Jordan. I'm probably the most British Yank you'll ever meet...my friends are petitioning to have my picture included in the dictionary under "Anglophile." Furthermore, I am a scientist, particularly specializing in all things biological up to and including the organismal level, and more specifically interested in computational biology. Additionally, I like classical music and opera, and you can laugh at me all you want for that, but it won't change anything...I can't get enough of Luciano Pavarotti, Joan Sutherland or Marilyn Horne. Also, Bosendorfer is the best piano in the world. I'm a recent graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University with a degree in biology, and I'm now a gradutate student in the Genome Science and Technology Ph.D. program at UT Knoxville.Jordan M.
