About me: Eminem said he was sent here to destroy Boy Bands; I’ve come for Tim Burton. My name is Jacob, and I am a writer. What exactly does that mean? Does that mean that I get paid for my work and go to fancy parties and eat caviar? I wish. What it means that from the time I get up in the morning until the time I go to bed my mind is plagued with all the ideas that I’ve failed to put down on paper and every now and then when I feel like my head is going to explode I actually write some of them down. I write everything from poetry, to movie scripts, to shorts, to TV scripts, to short stories, to novels. Occasionally I’ll write the lyrics of a song but…those are never any good.
One of my friends told me told me that I was an untapped wealth of resources, to which I replied, “Yeah, like the Alaska pipeline.”
For the last three years I’ve been dating my girlfriend Melinda. We currently live near Grand Rapids where we both attend school at GVSU. I am studying Film and Video with an emphasis in Fiction Filmmaking. I enjoy making short videos with my friends…and by enjoy I mean that after I’m done going through the pain and suffering of trying to cast and direct and write I am proud of the ten minutes that survives.
My goal is to be:
The Catholic Woody Allen,
The Latino M. Night Shaymalan,
The Midwestern Stephen King,
The American CS Lewis,
and the Garrison Keillor of Film and Video.
Who I'd like to meet: All dead people: Jesus (though I guess He did rise from the grave), Mother Theresa, Peter Sellers, CS Lewis, Plato, and Joseph Campbell. Oh and Stephen King.
Nuh-uh! We were following the stupid instructions, but they were wrong!!! They had a couple of missleading pieces of info, so pretty much it took us all day friday, and on saturday (just before I threw that thing through the window), another manager came to the rescue and fixed it for me!!!! :-)
Well there are more opportunities My artists friends that i have who have graduated, alot of them are actually working in their fields i would say its a good option what are you thinking>?

That was a great episode... really like the fact that House is "growing up" (allowing Wilson to have his relationship with Amber and getting a crush on a patient). I don't think the writers strike is effecting House... I think American idol is going to be 2 hours long on Tuesdays for 4-6 weeks, and then House will be back... at least I HOPE that's what's going on :)
Pigs and Cats can NOT be president. STOP TRYING! Oh, and thanks for inviting me over last night. Sorry I was so whipped all night. Tammies birthday shindig did take a lot out of me. Anyway... next Friday I will be a little more spry... ya think Melinda should get another chance to pick... just cuz I slept through parts of her movie?
