.. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ......GEROME SPORTELLI - ACID KRAX VOLUME I - KRAX 01 ...... .. .. ......A brand new label by Gerome Sportelli, with only one slogan: IS THERE ACID IN THE HOUSE. After buying a TB303, Gerome (check his releases on SUR MUZIQUE & TEKNOTIKA amongst others) got busy with his equipment & this turned out some wicked Acid trax reminiscent of early Phuture,Mr. Fingers, Armando & Steve Pointdexter releases... Turn on those Strobo's & dance your ass off, that's the name of the game...!...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ......GEROME SPORTELLI - ACID KRAX VOLUME II - KRAX 02...... .. .. ......Krax Records are on the move with the second volume in Gerome Sportellis ACID KRAX series Premium cut on this twelve is Polyform a long stretched out acid ride, with new school electrohouseslabs that will set fire to any floor. This side is topped of with the hilarious Bonus Krax loop On the B-side 2 more Acid tracks which are leaning more towards the Old School of Chicago thus more in the vain of Phuture, Pointdexter & the like- Acieeed is back in full form, check the recent slew of releases (Poker Flat / RZ records)- The first volume got a serious following & is still hot in many record boxes!- Plays & charted by: Rob Mello, Djulz, Laurent Garnier, Chris Duckenfield (SWAG), Dan Ghenacia, Dave Mothersole, Frederik (Majestic)...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ......ALEXI DELANO - TOO FAR GONE - KRAX 03...... .. .. ......For its 3rd instalment, Krax Records invites Swedish fellow acid compadre Alexi Delano (ADJD PokerFlat, DK, ADNY) to unleash some of his acidic rumblings This twelve starts of with: CLOSE ENOUGH? a seriously jackin effort that is but keeping the vibe mid-tempo half way with some flowing pads & vibes, before going up again to end of with the jackin effort that started it all Next up on side A is TOO FAR GONE the title says it all, reminiscent of Adonis No Way Back a looped up dirty as hell acidic bass line pumps this track to glorious heights, be prepared is the only thing to add! On the B-side there is LETS GO CRAZY, a repetitive hypnotic slammer that finishes of this twelve going for gold...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ........GEROME SPORTELLI - KRAX MUSIQUE- KRAX 04........ .. .. ......After Alexi Delanos mind blowing effort on KRAX, its back again to Gerome Sportelli (KRAX SUPREMO) to work the 303 Fresh from remixing Cocoon allstar DAVID K for Strobe Musics offshoot Strobextra, he comes up trump with a mighty twelve comprising 4 tracks with different flavor but all soaked in sleazy 303 bubbles! Check KRAX MUSIQUE for some supreme analogue big room peak time floor filler action. Next up is the minimal-esque rhythmic delight of CHANGES. Furthermore WE LOVE unleashes some harsher repetitive sounds that will definitely go down well on the weirder jackin floors. Last but not least, there is the beauty of THE TEA a freaked out bleep track thats certainly not to be missed KRAX IS HERE TO STAY!!!!!...... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... .. -

.. .. ........ .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ......ROLAND TB-303 / BIOGRAPHY :.... The TB303 (Transistor Bass) was introduced in the early 1982's together with the TR606 Drumatix (Transistor Rythm) by Roland. It was invented by Tadao Kikumoto. At that time the 303 was not an expensive piece. The two small plastic-pieces were intended to emulate a real bass player and a real drummer. Obviously only very few musicians used the TB303 and TR606 for that purpose because the machines just could not replace the real thing. Their sounds didn't anywhere come near a real bass or drumset, and the musicians didn't want to go through the time-consuming task of programming the machines. Since nobody wanted the TB303 anymore, Roland stopped producing them 18 months after releasing it. At that time they'd produced about 20.000 copies alltogether. It was not until 1987 when a DJ (rumors has it that it was DJ Pierre) came up with the idea to turn the knobs while playing the TB303 that acid house was born. After that the machine suddently became more and more wanted and soaked for. Today's acid music is very different from the acid house of the 80's/early 90's. Now acid music is typically produced using the TB303 and a TR909. The TR909 drum machine produces a much more hard, much more dancable beat. The bassdrum really kicks and it has got a very famous clap! As if that wasn't enough, apply a guitar-distortion pedal and the sound is now much more harsher and emphasizes the resonance into agony screams. BIG fat sounds from small machines!! .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. .... ..GEROME SPORTELLI / BIOGRAPHY.... A producer and DJ since the early nineties, Gerome Sportelli hails from Belgium. His music is a reflection of his passion for different electronic sounds. At the beginning of his career he released under several different monikers, “Intex System”, “Nepz”, and “The Sense” (a collaboration with Sammy Goossens). He confirmed his talent with quality releases on labels like Teknotika, Highgrade, Sur-Muzique, Serie Records. More recently he worked with Detroit legend James Pennington, aka Suburban Knight, as part of the Suburban Knight live act (which toured world wide) and in the studio for many projects and releases. Additionally Sportelli’s solo work was featured on Suburban Knight’s own label Dark Print. After playing a key role in the creation of Serie rec, Gerome developed his own label KRAX. Influenced by the mythical sound of Chicago acid house, he takes on this style to fashion some techno and electro sounds that bring KRAX a sonic freshness without denying the old school groove realized with none other than the legendary Roland TB303. After the success of the first KRAX records, Gerome is on the forefront of this reinvention of the acid sound, which treads between electro house and neo techno. This wide acceptance of dancefloor acid sounds gave KRAX the success he deserves, which are now being played by top DJs around the world. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ....http://www.myspace.com/geromesportelli.... .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. .... ..ALEXI DELANO / BIOGRAPHY.... International man of music Alexi Delano has been heating up dance floors for the better part of 15 years. His soulful and exquisitely deep blend of techno and house has been featured on the likes of Earthtones, Wave music, Poker Flat, Svek, Turbo Recordings, F-com, Plastic City, Harthouse, Super Bra, Blank Ltd, Raw Elements, Court Square recordings and of course his own labels Test 542, Corner Shots, Random Dynamics and now AD limited. With a production style that sits neatly between house and techno. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names on the scene, including Jesper Dahlbäck, Cari Lekebusch, John Selway, Xpansul, Vincenzo Ragone, Adam Beyer, Jori Hulkkonen, Darshan Jesrani, Lucas Rodenbusch and Casey Hogan. Born in Chile and raised in Sweden, Delano took to the turn tables in the early 80s, playing a combination of hip hop, funk, and soul. At a mere 15 years of age he had his own radio show, based in a suburb of Stockholm. At 17 he became the resident Dj at one of Stockholms first after hours club where he played continues 9-10 hour sets and then head on to school in time for the days first class. Delano discovered electronic music on a trip to Spain in the late 80s at a time when acid house ruled the airwaves. Upon his return to Stockholm, he wasted no time in teaming up with his old friend and the citys premier producer, Cari Lekebusch, with whom he co-produced his first single on the Stockholm-based Loop imprint. His debut release was well-received by the underground dance community, spurring him on to produce further recordings for Loop and for its sister label Plump House. In the mid 90s Delano relocated to New York where he spent his time developing new monikers like ADNY for his deeper house music and G.O.L. and GIOVANI for the techier. He also found the time to start two new labels, Corner Shots and Test 542 which went on to become two of the most respected deep house labels of the circuit. Delano and Mr. Cari Lekebusch also got together in New York City to produce a string of techno EPs on labels such as Missile, Hybrid, Primevil, Primemate and Jericho including a full length album for the Swedish Grammy nominated house label SVEK. After releasing successful full-length projects for Svek, Earthtones with Jesper Dahlbäck and Plastic City as LEIVA, Delano was approached (year 2000) by Tiga with his Montreal-based Turbo Recordings imprint to produce an artist album. The result Selections 97-2000 is an incredibly rich collection of both percussive and jazz inspired vocal house music that stimulates the mind as much as it moves the body. Now, in 2006, Mr. Delano keeps searching for new inspirations and ideas to re-shape the music that he loves. He has started a new label AD-LIMITED, where he will tend to release a collection of his previously unreleased material in alternation with his new ones. He has also created a successful new moniker with his friend Jesper Dahlbäck called ADJD with 2 EPs already under their belt on Steve Bugs Poker Flat recordings and a full length album ready for release later this year. Delano is also eagerly awaiting the release of his next full length album STORIES OF AN ALIEN BROTHER (HARTHOUSE recordings) and the much anticipated release on Richie Hawtins PLUS 8 label where he has collaborated with Spanish producer Xpansul. With whom he also recorded "SWIMMING IN A FISH BOWL" an EP to be out on Adam Beyers quality label-TRUESOUL-. Its all in a days work for Mr. Delano though. Hes a man who seems to be made of music... .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. ......http://www.myspace.com/adltd.... ..http://www.ad-limited.com/...... .. .. -
