  • Bio

In December of 1991, Jay, Big Murr, Speed & Myself grabbed some heinekens and road sodas and jammed for the first time. 4 months later we played our first gig at the Red Spot on Staten Island in April of 1992. For the next 2 years we played various bars and venues in manhattan, staten island, & new jersey. we had some memorable gigs: CBGBs - we learned the importance of plugging in bass amps; The Roseland - we proved to the venue's bouncers and personnel if you r gonna shorten our set u r gonna get into a fight; SRO - a table will break your fall; The Halloween gig at the Choir Loft - Now that was a PARTY!; Jack the Ripper - too many yards of guinness will provide disasterous results; and the Speak Easy taught us we could really blow the roof off of a place. During this time we also met a rather wealthy record producer, who said he liked our style. He compared my vocalizing to spakespearen rap and said he digged our sound. he said we'd hear from him . . . hey lew u can reach us at neckbox@yahoo.com. well, drummers came and went, we tried a few different things and sadly The Uninvited met an untimely end circa Spring 1994. Fast forward 12 years and here we r today. in April, Jay, Big Murr & Myself got together with our new drummer Vinny and hit the studio and started jamming the old tunes. hopefully, we'll get in the studio enough to throw a little 30 minute set together and play a gig or two. its not looking too good at the moment, but i'm hopeful. so until then stay tuned. january 2007 - ED is BACK, we jammed and here we come!
