About me:
bread is a network-theory / network-analysis based project by marie evelyn.
the project involves a work titled 779 birthdates, which is 779 plastic bread tabs on canvas.
the project was initiated in 2003.
it takes a really long time to collect 779 bread tabs.
if sold, all monies received by marie will be donated to the millennium villages project (headed by jeffrey sachs at the earth institute), which is working to support sustainable agriculture in african villages.
(..thanks to jarod gibson's grandmom for a good portion of the bread tabs.)

(..779 birthdates is 779 plastic bread tabs on canvas. the bread page displays a portion of the entire canvas, and contains hotspots which reveal birthdates and, in some cases, names upon mouse-rollover.
..listed birthdates are determined by the expiration date printed on the associated bread tab.
