I've been playing lately with my old friend Forrest Smith. He's a talented song writer as well as a dynamic performer. Forrest makes it easy, he carries the show and I just have to play a little slide or harmonica.
I play a few times a year with the Blessing brothers, Dan (Rock), Larry (Gouch), and Guy. They're great and it's a privilege to play with them.
I do a little solo playing. And drop in at the Saturday night open mic at "a shot of java" once or twice a month. They're a good bunch of people down there.
Influences
The delta blues greats; Robert Johnson, Son House..... The early Chicago guys; Tampa red, Georgia Tom..... Jimmy Buffett, Merle Haggard, Allman Brothers, Doc Watson, The List goes on and continues to change.
Sounds Like
A guy having fun Inviting everybody to join in. I play guitar; Cigar box type, Acoustic, resonator, and Harmonica. Actually, I’m a harmonica player trying to be a guitar player. Thats because it’s a lot easier to sing while playing the guitar than while playing the harmonica. Although there may be those who think my singing sounds better wth a harmonica in my mouth.

Hi Pat,
I hope all is well. I was wondering if you would be intrested in playing down here this weekend. Let me know I would love to have you. I am trying to make it more music than open mic. I think that is the way to go for now. If you know anyone that would like to come and play here let me know. Thanks Lisa
