Music
I love The Cure. I also enjoy a lot of 80's music especially alternative when I consider that it truely was alternative. Pixies, Danielle Dax, The Smiths, BAD, Lemonheads, Lush, Hole, etc.
I have found new bands that I enjoy too like Coldplay, Radiohead, The Killers, The National, Shout out Louds- ironically sounds like The Cure. It may be that they have musical roots to the bands I like. I like the moody and dark music that makes me want to cry. I also enjoy old rock like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Neil Young, Ziggy Stardust, Kansas (Dust in the Wind) being my favorite song ever, etc.
Movies
I really like movies with a twisted ending or make you really ponder it or knocks your socks off. Like "wow", I never saw that coming. I also like animation especially the sick and twisted animation festivals. Some of my favorites would have to be Snatch, Pulp Fiction, Shopgirl, Magnolia, Moulin Rouge, and others. I really am not too picky about movies. A movie that really blew my mind was 11:14 and I know that it isn't a new movie but I hadn't seen it and thought it was really good and twisted. Just like I like them.
Television
Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, South Park, Sarah Silverman Program, The Big Bang Theory, Mad Men, Project Runway, Ace of Cakes, Big Girls Blouse, Pushing Daisies, Kitchen Nightmares...anything worth watching. I also watch channels like food network, TLC, MTV, VHI, DOC and pretty much anything.
Books
I read a lot of books when I dont have the tv on. I pretty much read anything except mysteries and science fiction. Though I used to read a lot of Stephen King.
Heroes
I have no heros. I have no one that I am modeling myself after. I am just trying to be Me.
On the other hand I am hoping that I can be a hero to my daughter. I hope that someday she will realize all I have done and given up to give her the best life and even though that meant sacrificing the time I spent with her as a child so that I could put myself through college and graduate school. These things have paid off for me. I'm lucky and I worked really hard at it. SO I would like me to be her hero someday!
