Hey everyone- hope all is well. I recently did an interview for Indie Vision Music, and it finally just went online the other day. It will be up for two weeks, so hurry over and check it out here (top right corner of the page). Also, you can download the pre-production recording of "The Vindicator" there, if you haven't already ripped it from our site or torrented it from elsewhere :)
We're just about done with bass tracks, so be on the look out for a new video blog soon!

New video update from Huntour! Check it out here on our page or at http://www.youtube.com/7horns7eyesofficial

By the way, we are aware that our songs are not showing up in the Myspace player. The Myspace tech people tell us that there are multiple bands who are dealing with the same issue right now, and that they are working on resolving the problem for us.

Hello everyone! Fear not- more video updates are coming soon, both from the studio and also from our time on the Huntour. Brandon is tracking bass this week, and Kyle will be up next. I am very excited to work with Kyle in the studio again, to put our heads together to produce the beastly performances that the songs deserve. The record is coming along very nicely, and I have no doubts whatsoever that you will find it to be well worth the wait once you hear the finished results!
We recently had some new promo group photos taken, and they turned out great (thank you to Nicole Myers). We're preparing a new Myspace layout, so expect to see the photos very soon. Nicole also shot our Seattle performance on the Huntour, and did a great job.
Have you been waiting for merchandise? We have replenished our stock of merchandise and will be updating the online store shortly with three new designs (thank you to Chris Weiford).
Stay tuned!

PS, I shaved my beard...

Yo, what's up! We are still alive and well! It has been awhile since the last update, but there will be more video footage up soon as the recording continues on our full length album.

Huntour was a blast! Thank you to Demon Hunter and all the rest of the guys who made that happen, and to everyone who came out and supported us at the shows. You guys rock! Stay tuned for more 7 Horns action!

Against all odds, we were able to upload another video blog this week without technical difficulties! For anyone who was disappointed by the misleading second "studio update" video that in fact features a rousing game of mini golf, you will be pleased to find that the third video is of much more substance! Also, there are some new little snippets of music that can be heard throughout, so be sure to check it out!
I also just put a couple more photos from the studio in our "Studio 2009" folder, which are quite nice (especially if you like drum sets or studio gear).
In current recording news, I have been hard at work tracking rhythm guitars for several days. I am quad-tracking all the appropriate parts and have been picking my playing to death, which can be frustrating at times, but in the end, the wall of guitars will be well worth the effort! We filmed some footage tonight for a guitar blog, so be on the lookout for that quite soon.
And finally, if you hadn't noticed yet, we added two August shows to our calendar which are a part of the Demon Hunter "HUNTOUR"! We were very excited to receive the invitation and are looking forward to sharing the stage with Demon Hunter and other great bands (the lineups are still pending a bit). This also marks the first time that we will be playing a show in California, so if any of you are near Pomona, please make plans to come on out, as we would love to meet some out of state fans at what promises to be a very memorable show!
Take care and talk to you soon!

So, after some technical difficulties we finally have part 2 of the studio update videos online! And, a slight amendment to the plan, we won't have a separate page set up for the video updates, but they will continue to be posted on our youtube channel and on this page for you all to embrace. There will be more soon!

Also, be sure to check out our upcoming shows- we have some sweet gigs coming up!

Head on over to our photos to check out the new "Studio 2009" album, featuring photographs taken by Nicole Myers. This album will be updated periodically as the recording process continues.
More recording and album news coming soon!

We have a new video update posted from our first day in the studio, so check it out!

After two killer days of tracking at Seattle's own, Fastback studios (a stellar studio I might add), the drums are all done for the new album! I'm stoked about the material that we have on tape, and soon we will have a dedicated web page up for video and news updates from our progress in the studio. This will include drum footage from the last few days and the coming guitar/bass/vocal tracking. Stay tuned!

What's up! I'm am currently sitting in the studio as I type this getting ready for the second day of drum tracking! Everything is rockin so far, so stay tuned for new video updates and pictures soon!

What it is! I don’t even know what that means, but apparently it’s something good. Anyway, I just want to announce that I am officially endorsed by Paiste cymbals! I am excited to be a part of the their family and to be in good company with many great drummers. Currently I am putting together my order for a fresh cymbal set-up, and hopefully you'll get a first glimpse of these bad boys in a few weeks when album tracking begins. Keep your eyes peeled!

Posted by Brandon Smith

Also on that note I would like to announce that I am officially endorsed by Ampeg! I’ve been using their amps for years now... In fact, my very first amp I ever got was a little Crate combo, which was owned by the same parent company that Ampeg was, and now my Ampeg full stack that I’ve played through for a few years now. It’s very cool to be an official artist of theirs since I have been using their stuff for so long and I am in good company, considering they have some of the best bassists out their ranging from Victor Wooten to George Clinton... Very cool!

Hello metal fans, it's time for an update!
First of all, we've booked one final show before recording begins on the full length: Saturday, April 4th @ Club Impact in Tacoma, WA. If you are able, please come on out- we would love to see you there. We are looking forward to tearing it up on stage one more time...
As for the full length, I am proud to say that we've just finished writing this week! It feels great to have that pressure removed so the focus can be fully on rehearsing. There are nine songs, which together represent about 52 minutes of music. In case we have not been clear, "The Vindicator", "Cycle Of Self", and "The Final Days" are included in that track count, but even if you've been listening those songs to death on Myspace, they will be rerecorded and made fresh for your ears!
We are planning to begin drum tracking in the last week of April. Until then we will be rehearsing nearly every afternoon or evening possible, to ensure that we have done everything we can to prepare as musicians. Undoubtedly, the enemy would love to interrupt the process in any way possible, so please be in prayer for us as things get busy.
We will also be setting up a separate web page, dedicated to documenting the recording process, so be on the look out for that to come online! It will be updated with news, photos, video blogs, and any other relevant information that may come about.
Thank you for stopping by. More to come soon!

Good news! You are reading a new update right now!
And, if you haven’t already noticed, there is a brand new video update on our youtube channel, which is posted on this page as well. The video covers us putting together our new light show, and it also has recent live footage and outtakes. Plus, if your lucky you might here a couple short previews of new songs!

Stay tuned for a video update of our trip to the NAMM convention in Anaheim, CA!

Rock on!!

Yes, we are alive- rest assured!
You will also be pleased to know that we have realized and discussed the need to be more proactive about filming and documenting the life of this band, so as to keep you properly informed of what exactly it is that we put ourselves up to each week. I don't mean to say that we will absolutely be posting video blogs on a weekly basis, but consider this our apology for being relatively silent since August, and our promise that we won't again leave you wondering for so long between updates!
The next big thing on our schedule is a live performance on Saturday the 20th (see above calendar for details). This is only our third live performance since our reformation in March, and we are all very stoked to be playing live one last time before the end of the year (our repaired van is teeming with life and is equally excited to be leaving the driveway)! We will be debuting one new song, in a five song set of completely post-EP material. ALSO, as if that weren't reason enough for you to leave Myspace at home for an evening (unless you have a nerdy internet phone), we have also prepared and will be debuting a cool light show that will accompany teh m3t4l lolz (you internet nerd). Don't miss it!
As for news on the album front, we currently have seven songs written, and are aiming for two more before we hibernate in our rehearsal space (with YouTube camera in hand and you in mind, of course). I don't believe we have an album title yet, but Kyle has been writing an awful lot and we have some great ideas as far as powerful lyrical content to wed with the music. Please be in prayer that our hearts would be perceptive to God's will throughout this entire process, and that the words Kyle writes and that the subject matter involved would be ordained by God, for His glory alone. It is by that token that this band exists.

Keep in touch and take care.

SEATTLE! We were just informed that this coming Friday morning, October 3rd, we will be the featured Loud And Local artist on KISW 99.9's The BJ Shea Morning Experience show! The show runs from 5:00 AM - 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time, so be sure to tune in and enjoy! It is an honor to be featured in such a manor on Seattle's premier rock station, and we are grateful to everyone at KISW who has made this happen!
"But I don't live in Seattle!" you're thinking. That's okay, because even so, it is still possible for you to listen to the broadcast! Simply click on the "Listen Live" play button on the main page of the KISW website. Be sure to tell your friends!
More news and video blogs coming soon!

Hey everyone! First of all I want to apologize to all of you who have been waiting patiently for parts 2 and 3 of the Creation videos... They have been edited and ready to go for quite some time, but we are having issues getting them to upload properly to YouTube (the video and audio get out of time extremely badly during YouTube's upload/conversion process). If anyone has any pointers or any experience on the matter, we would love to hear from you (we are editing .mov files in iMovie)...
Other than that, we have been busy writing for the full length, and are more or less about half way there. The new songs are sounding heavy and brooding as always, and you will definitely find the album to be a pleasantly diverse collection of songs- there is plenty of polyrhythmic fun to be had, as well as some bigger, doomier parts with a lot of ambience and even orchestral accompaniment at times...and of course, it all ties together nicely and sounds cohesive. I am in a constant state of eagerness and excitement about the album, especially as more is written!
We are also itching to begin touring, and are on the hunt for the right management company to partner with. In addition to this, we are heavily considering booking or piggybacking on an existing tour before the full length is completed, as it would be a good experience to test the waters on our own, and it also would likely benefit our resumé in the management search. There are plenty of you from out of state who have asked us to play in your town, so if you have any contacts or relevant information that you think would be good for us to know about, please send us a message (especially western US).
The Creation videos will be up soon, I promise!
Keep in touch and take care!

PS
A big thank you to everyone who has ever taken the time to listen to our music on the Myspace player (which should be basically everyone on our friends list, haha)! 100,000 plays is a pretty cool milestone to hit, although it is only the first of many greater milestones... =)

Creation was killer, thank you to all of you guys who were there to scope out our show and hang out, you guys rock! We are currently putting together some video blogs from the footage taken during the Creation Fest weekend, and these should be up soon! Check back often, you might see yourself on a video! I'm off like a turd of hurdles...

What's up everyone! We received word that we are scheduled to play Saturday, July 26th on the Fringe stage at Creation Festival. This will be at 11 am, so if you are planning on being at Creation come check out our show! We look forward to seeing you there, and have a good 4th of July tomorrow! Blow some stuff up (referring to fireworks of course)!

Hey everyone! Hopefully all is well with you.
Big news! We will be recording a full-length in the fall. At this point it is about half-way written, and we are aiming for about 10 songs, which includes the three pre-production songs on our player. Like all of our previous work, it will be tracked mostly at home, and will mixed and mastered by me...although this time around, we will track the drums at a real studio so we can make use of natural room reverb and mess around with room mics and all that fun stuff. We have not yet committed to a specific studio, but we will report back here when we do!
Anyway, we will also be updating this thing on a much more regular basis, so you will be able to stay better aquainted with all of the random happenings in our world. Rumor has it that we may start a video blog soon as well, which sounds like fun to me!
See you at Creation next month!?
Thanks for reading, and take care!

We finally got a van! So, we are now fully equipped to take our kids to soccer games. We don't have any kids though, but the van is awesome anyways! Scope it out; we'll put a few pictures up in a picture album soon.

Also, we have been confirmed to play at Creation Fest this year at the Gorge! We were selected as one of four bands chosen in Creation's National Talent Search. You can check out the festival at http://www.creationfest.com/nw/. later!

We just uploaded three new songs to our page! These songs are not "real" recordings, but they are pre-production versions that we've been working on for quite some time, and we decided that it was finally time to let you all hear them. Please let us know what you think! Thank you and take care.

Hello metal fans! Welcome to our brand new fancy-dancy news box, the cool hangout spot where you will be able to keep up with all of the current happenings of 7H7E. I figured it made more sense to start writing our news out in the open, rather than continuing to bury it away in blogs and assume that everyone would click on it!
At the moment there are a couple cool things to announce. First of all, the biggest piece of news is that we finally have a fresh batch of merchandise for sale! Just click below to head on over to our online store:

As a bonus, if you place an order before Saturday April 19th, you will also recieve a free copy of our self-titled EP! Already own the EP? Good; give the free one away to someone who needs it. Just be sure you don't pass up the opportunity, because how often are you offered a free CD that's actually worth your time?!
We also moved into a new practice space recently, which is larger and is better suited to our needs. We have been diligently rehearsing and working on new material for several weeks now, and things are shaping up quite nicely. I can't wait to show you what we've written! It is also highly likely that we will be making a switch from six-string guitars to seven-strings, as I experimented with writing that way earlier this year (for no particular reason) and we collectively realized after a couple practices how much we were enjoying it. Brandon will continue using his five and six-string basses as usual, with a slightly different tuning.
Other than that, we've got some really cool possible show opportunities brewing, but more news on those later.
That's all for now! Don't forget to swing by our online store so you can be the first person in your state with a 7H7E shirt :)
Take care.

CURRENT VIDEO: "Huntour 2009"

CURRENT VIDEO: "Studio Update 2009 - Part 5"

Christian. Metal. When these words that seemingly conflict are placed together, they represent a category of music that has long been debated, misunderstood, and criticized by both the church and by mainstream society. Realistically, the surrounding controversy is likely to never be put to rest, but for 7 Horns 7 Eyes, it is a position that occurs comfortably and naturally. "It's simply about being honest" states guitarist Aaron Smith. "Every artist has some kind of subject matter to write about that is important to them, and for us, there is nothing more important to speak of than than the fullness that can be found in knowing Jesus Christ." This transparent approach is crucial, as it leaves room for the listener to connect at whatever level they choose, without straining respect for the differing beliefs amongst the band's fanbase.
7 Horns 7 Eyes has not only shown that metal can indeed host a Christian perspective, but that the combination can be done well. With influences ranging from Van Halen to Arch Enemy, Jimmy Eat World to The Acacia Strain, hear and see for yourself by picking up their self-titled EP!
