7 Minutes follows the journey of a Division I wrestling program through a season in which it has to deal with not only the sacrifice it takes to excel in the worlds toughest sport, but personality conflicts, and the universitys desire to cut the program due to the controversial requirements and interpretations of Title IX. The story focuses on the teams best wrestler as he tries to claim an NCAA title against a rival while trying to conqueror the mental demons that hold him back.
