7th REIGN was formed in January 2005 by Guitarist Marios Panayiotis and Vocalist Brian Soulard. (ex- EIDOLON)
They started off with one goal, to form the kind of band that they would want to hear and see live. They were not worried about current trends or past influences but instead concentrated on creating good music that would cross many themes and styles but was built on the best form of music……METAL!!
Marios and Brian were introduced in April 2004 by MEGADETH/EIDOLON guitarist Glen Drover. Glen knew that the two were exactly what the other was searching for. It took another eight months for them to figure it out!!
Once they decided that they were destined to play together they started to form the early foundation of 7th REIGN. After writing and recording for six months they realized it was time to finish the forming of 7th REIGN.
By September of 2005 they had found the pieces of the puzzle that they needed. Drummer Niall Mellors and bass player Dave Davidson (Fuz z) completed the band. Over the next four months they rehearsed new songs and refined existing ones. In January of 2006, they played their debut gig at the Opera House in Toronto to a packed house in support of Finnish Metal band SONATA ARCTICA. The overwhelming response from the Metal crowd confirmed that the band was on the right track. Although 7th REIGN was excited to start playing live they knew that it was also time to start focusing all of their attention on recording their debut album.
During this process Fuz z informed the band that he was on the move and needed to leave the band. Although they were saddened at the news of his departure they were excited to welcome new band member Adrian Robichaud (EIDOLON). Brian and Adrian had played together on two albums and the band knew that the addition of Adrian would bring them to a whole new level of technical skill and professionalism.
By April of 2007 the band had released their debut self-titled album. The album is filled with fast double bass, shredding guitar solos, soaring vocal lines and passionate lyrics. The album was met with positive reviews from around the world and was featured on several Metal radio shows, Samplers and Metal magazines.
Over the next year 7th REIGN parted ways with Niall and began the search for a permanent drummer. They also decided to add a keyboard player to the band. In January of 2008 Brian met Keyboardist Jared Tomlinson and quickly realized that his classical background and creativeness would be a huge asset to the band. By the end of that same year Brian met Drummer Johnny Roberts. Johnny’s energy, enthusiasm and overall skill level have enabled the band to play their most challenging material. With the addition of these two guys 7th REIGN is unlimited in regards to composition and playing ability.
7th REIGN’s music is built on the roots of Metal, mixed with Classical Orchestration and a Theatrical Sound. The band’s latest release, FALLEN EMPIRES, is a stunning example of all these elements. The theme of the album is based on the corruption of major corporations, the sin of mankind and the search for truth in this confused and mislead world. For too long we have been the Servants of the Lost. It is time that the Empires Fall!!

7th Reign – Fallen Empires CD (Independent Release)
The ideal outcome for a newcomer band is to show steadily progress on each album that unleashes. 7th Reign managed to reach that goal and revealed to us an outstanding release, destined to become a Power Metal classic! I remember my comments on their debut CD but now I can assure you that this quartet managed to release an even better album! Melodic, pompous powerful and atmospheric Power Metal is served in “Fallen Empires”, with the mighty voice of Brian Soulard delivering some harsh and high-pitched vocal wizardry! My pick in 7th Reign, guitarist Marios Panayiotis is in constant great shape, playing some astonishing riffs and solos in brilliant songs like “7th Reign”, “Betrayed”, and the 10-minute opuses “Deliverance” and “Requiem For The Dead”. I love the Neoclassical attitude that Mario has in his performance, filled also with some Symphonic keyboard parts, something that makes his parts an absolute experience. I strongly believe that “Fallen Empires” is one of the best, if not the best album of 2009, without any single drawback in it! I am not a fortune teller, but I predict that their next album will surely be released under a big record label! Don’t let this CD pass unnoticed, you’ll miss a state-of-the-art!
