7th Sun is an intense supernova rock band from Los Angeles whose roots run the gamut from classic rock, progressive rock, funk rock, alternative rock, and jam bands.

"7th Sun really rocks. The band is an original rock ‘n’ roll blues band featuring the powerful songwriting and musicianship of JT Cutis. Its music is rooted in the classic rock of honest artists like the Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, and Derek and the Dominos, but with its spiraling guitars, driving rhythms, and gutsy vocals, the quintet led by JT Curtis soars into a new future of rock 'n' roll.

Wednesday April 21st 2010: 7th Sun guitarist Ron Scalera has passed away

"Ron Scalera has been a supporter of 7th Sun's music from day one. He used to jam with us all the time. I was pleased to bring him into the demo session we did back in 2006. The video below captures the excitement from that session.

When 7th Sun's definitive lineup started working on the FROM THE BEGINNING album, Ron supplied some great guitar work on "From the Beginning" "Hard and Slow" and an incendiary solo on "Courage in B Minor".

Ron has always been a great, fun, loyal friend to the Curtis family. Ever since I was a little kid, I've always enjoyed his energy and sense of humor. I will always remember all the times we jammed in my room or shared the stage. The last letter of recommendation he wrote for me was a true act of kindness.

Rest in Peace Ron!"
