In the world of Hip-Hop, many people in general and many entertainers in particular claim to have the streets behind them, to have the people and the hood fully supporting them and their movement, but for The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm), this is the absolute truth. With a work ethic that is unsurpassed, a catalog that seems to grow by the day and undying support from fans around the world, Messy Marv(tm) now known as The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm) is the true definition of the entrepreneurial spirit. With selling over more than 400,000+ Units independently, The grind still remains in 2009. A product of San Francisco California, The Boy Boy Young Mess was raised in the notorious Marcus Garvey Housing Projects on Eddy Street in the Fillmore District. He endured many of his own life's hardships but was surrounded by the most thriving independent music scene in the country. 1995 saw the debut of Messy Marv with his first album which is now considered an underground classic. .... The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm) was the first to ever pay Oakland's own multi-Platinum Artist Keyshia Cole to sing on a track. Taking a chance on the young singer, Mess added her passionate pain filled vocals to his single "Nubian Queen"(2001) and her history is still being written today. There have been many other great accomplishments in the 13+ year career of The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm). He was twice a winner at the 2006 2nd Annual B.A.R.S. (Bay Area Rap Scene) Awards, taking home trophies for Best Collaboration Album for his group project with fellow San Francisco heavyweight Guce on Bullys Wit Fullys 3 The Infrastructure, and also the 2006 Boss Of The Bay, an award given "for outstanding contribution and dedication to the game and being the biggest in the region." In 2008 he took home the award for Best West Coast Artist Of The Year at the West Coast Hip-Hip Awards. .... Over the years The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm) has also landed the covers of well known publications including; Murder Dog Magazine, Ozone Magazine, Showcase Magazine, Xplosive Magazine, Hoodstar Magazine, Stash Magazine and has also appeared in XXL Magazine, The Source Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle and The San Francisco Bay Guardian. His highly anticipated 2004 release DisoBayish hit radio hard with a trio of singles "Hypnotic", "Baby" and "That's What's Up!" landed on Billboard and peeked at 49 on the Top Independent Albums chart and 76 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. He has also hit the Billboard charts with 3 of his other albums released to date. The video to the critically acclaimed smash single "So Hood" from the Bullys Wit Fullys 3 album received national attention and heavy rotation on MTV's urban station MTV Jams. There have been several run-ins with the law, in which The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm) has been charged with multiple crimes including weapons possession and has done several stints in jail. Overcoming his real life problems and conquering his personal demons have made him a stronger person who strives that much harder to be successful. Today he owns and operates his own label Click Clack Records for Scalen LLC(tm), which roster boasts the talent of not only himself, but the most anticipated gangsta rap group since N.W.A... Under the Scalen imprint is also a Films Division - Scalen Films and a Clothing Line - Scalen Clothing. In hopes of bringing positivity back to the community in which he loves, The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm) established the Scalen Foundation in 2005. In an effort to connect with at risk youth, the Foundation was created to provide constructive activities to help improve their lives and overcome some of their hardships. It also partners with and supports the efforts of other organizations in the community that work directly with the youth. .... Another effort The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm) has put forth in hopes of creating peace in his warring Fillmoe neighborhood, he has released two separate Compilation Albums called Fillmoe Nation. The projects featured up and coming talent from the two sides of the neighborhood, in hopes of bridging the gap. As the classic story goes for any young minority who has struggled to make it out of a rough background, there are going to be setbacks and ups and downs, but the key is to learn from your mistakes along the way, get stronger and push harder. As is the case for The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm), he has certainly endured his share of real life trauma's and struggles, but has persevered and been one of the most successful independent musicians of the last decade.

With a signature trademark low smooth raspy flow, The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm) crafts his music with a versatility that keeps all of his listeners happy and continues to gain him new ones.

Forever true to his roots, building his campaign from the street up, he keeps a hard edge to his image and music that keeps the streets talking, As well as being able to create music that is acceptable to crossing over to many types of listeners. But of course what story of personal triumph, hard work and accomplishing goals would be complete without tragedy, loss and setbacks? There have been several run-ins with the law, in which The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm) has been charged with multiple crimes including weapons possession and has done several stints in jail. Overcoming his real life problems and conquering his personal demons have made him a stronger person who strives that much harder to be successful. Today he owns and operates his own label Click Clack Records for Scalen LLC(tm), which roster boasts the talent of not only himself, but the most anticipated gangsta rap group since N.W.A... "The Click Clack Gang(tm)". Under the Scalen imprint is also a Films Division - Scalen Films and a Clothing Line - Scalen Clothing. In hopes of bringing positivity back to the community in which he loves, The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm) established the Scalen Foundation in 2005. In an effort to connect with at risk youth, the Foundation was created to provide constructive activities to help improve their lives and overcome some of their hardships. It also partners with and supports the efforts of other organizations in the community that work directly with the youth.

Another effort The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm) has put forth in hopes of creating peace in his warring Fillmoe neighborhood, he has released two separate Compilation Albums called Fillmoe Nation. The projects featured up and coming talent from the two sides of the neighborhood, in hopes of bridging the gap. As the classic story goes for any young minority who has struggled to make it out of a rough background, there are going to be setbacks and ups and downs, but the key is to learn from your mistakes along the way, get stronger and push harder. As is the case for The Boy Boy Young Mess(tm), he has certainly endured his share of real life trauma's and struggles, but has persevered and been one of the most successful independent musicians of the last decade.
