You been mighty quiet these days. I too remember when MySpace was the place to be. Glad to see most of the bands are still working it. Are you doing Facebook and Twitter now? I'm not cuz then it will just be something else and I like my quasi-anonymity. Saw Tapes-N-Tapes a while back but it was at First so I was working both rooms (there is another bar connected to the Main room where they were playing). So I saw about half of them. Seeing Bob Mould on Monday so that is like the Holy Grail for me but it's at a crappy bar where I have had problems. Got two new tattoos and they rule. We're on the precipice of a CD release bonanaza. That's about all from the thawing tundra. Much love -L-

Hola Lovely Jen Thought you might find this interesting given your recent interest in Soul Asylum. I'm going to see them at First Ave tonite in what I call the Unofficial Mpls old school Holiday party. They do this every year. All of us old schoolers (pre-Runaway train Black gold, when they were the best live band in the world) are home for the holidays and go. Typically a lot of fun people join them think Golden Smog, Jayhawks, Kraig Jarret Johnson, they are like a big high school clique. I wonder if Mr. Stinson will be on bass unless the demon who goes by the name of Axl Rose has a death grip on him. Anyway they will be in old form and hopefully won't be playing drivel like String of Pearls cuz they know their crowd and they are quite humble at these shows. Once again the pic I love! I seek to emulate that pic and if I can I will come out of hiding. Mine will be leaning on the bar at First w/ my favorite bartender drink and drinking buddies, or on the dancefloor of First in front of a great band also with drink and buddies, are you sensing a theme here? Did you give my love to the Twins and tell them to come to Mpls? Moving has been sheer unadulterated hell as expected, the light at the end of the tunnel may be a train. GO TO PHILLY! Love my old school stomping grounds! Didn't look up where they're playing, I assume the TLA. Ya go everywhere else. Hold Steady/Drive By Trucker double bill two night stand tomorrow and Sunday at First, been forever since I've seen a show it will be a great break. I've promised to behave, I never do.
