Personally, I'm rooting for 805 South, who play the first set at 4 p.m. sharp. Think of them as the Riot Grrrls of the blues: Two ladies sharing lead vocal and songwriting duties, backed by classic instrumentalists on bass, drums, and lead guitar.
Each chanteuse has her own sound and style. Rhythm guitarist Lisa Shea proffers a smooth alto that some describe as "female Jimi Hendrix," though she carries a tune much better than that guitar god.
Candy Bailey, meanwhile, has a pretty-yet-edgy voice that reminds me of underground power-pop songstresses . Indeed, like Nina and Louise of Veruca Salt, Lisa and Candy are able to combine their different sounds and smoothly trade roles as frontwoman or backup singer.[MORE...]
All music but to name a few, Chuck Berry, Muddy Watlers, Etta James, Lonnie Mack, Johnny Winter, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, John Mayer, ZZ Top, Bill Withers, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Cray, Led Zeppelin, CREAM, Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz, Black Crowes, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bonnie Raitt, T-Bone Walker, Ben Harper, Metallica, B B King, GNR, John Lee Hooker, Janis Joplin, Ben Harper, Johnny Lang and much more!

music, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bill Withers, Robert Cray, CREAM, Etta James, Lenny Kravitz, Black Crowes, Bonnie Raitt, etc.....
"For the love of the music, nothing else matters!"
805 South (8-oh-5 South) is a Los Angeles based blues rock band that is a fusion of original Memphis Rhythm and Blues, Nashville song writing, southern rock guitar, groove pumping drums and smooth bluesy bass lines. If “Black Crowes”, “Etta James”, and “Cream” had a baby than 805 South would be that love child. They have been called “Stevie Ray Vaughan' with chicks and female “Jimi Hendrix”.

805 South started as a song. Lisa and Candy, the founders, wrote the song “805 South” while taking a trip to the San Diego Zoo. After much thought, they named the band 805 South and renamed the song "Woke Up". When they got back to LA, they created recordings containing a cappella sung melodies, to find a guitarist, bassist, and drummer.
805 South has performed live at The Joint, B.B. Kings Club - Universal City Walk, The Airliner, The Cat Club, Studio Suite, Universal Bar and Grill, The Derby, On the Rox, House of Blues, and The Mint to name a few.
805 South songs are available for film/TV. Their influences are blues and rock artists such as Black Crowes, Ben Harper and Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, and Bonnie Raitt. 805 South “Pay To Play” full length CD released in 2009.
