About me:
I'm finishing up my PhD at UCLA. One of my major projects is The DARPA Grand Challenge, an off-road autonomous vehicle race. So I get to build cars that drive themselves, which I think is pretty cool. My team is called The Golem Group. That's golEm, NOT golLUm.
I'm leaning toward making robotics/intelligent vehicles my focus, though I do have other projects that I work on (in the artificial intelligence/computer vision area). I'm applying for SBIR grants and planning to start a company after I get my PhD.
I was an All-American water polo player in college. I still play, but mostly now I do triathlons. Finished my first Ironman in Arizona on April 9, 2005.
