About me: I like to think of myself as low maintenance, spending time with my fiance, doing WW2 reenacting, playing on my computers or birdwatching, but I also enjoy my work. When I do go on trips, it is usually for birdwatching, reenacting, family, or visiting natural history or military museums. I really would like to go to Europe and other places. But still enjoy my job as an engineer (degree from NCSU, go Wolfpack) with the NCDOT, especially things like responding to ice storms and such.
I'm about the get married and settle down. Something I've been looking forward to for a while, but now I have found that wonderful lady that makes it all work. Now if she can just keep me behaving myself! Ah, I kid too much.
I have pretty strong political and religious views. And while I'm a liberal and consider myself agnostic, I don't get wasted every day, I'm fiscally conservative, don't do drugs, want to have kids, and am pretty conservative in general. Coworkers tell me I am a conservative person with liberal ideas. And I get to run my mouth on www.rorap.net!
I am a bit shy and take a while to open up, but when I do, I'm sure some people wish I would shut back up. :) I'm pretty funny at times. I'll walk around whistling some tune, spin in the air, and run about barking like a dog. Then my coworkers tell me to go back to my office and be quiet... :) Then I'll go home sit in front of the computer playing Civ4 for hours, while listening to Rammstein/Metallica/Godsmack/Tom Petty/Rolling Stones or watching the History Channel. I grew up watching PBS and listening to NPR. I also like to play around trying to speak Spanish and German.
I'm a car person, and am not fond of trucks. I would love to get an Audi RS6 Avant (wagon), but it's not sold in this country, and it costs a fortune... And, I don't care for outside cat's, being a birdwatcher. Oh, and I'm a NC State fan.
