What I do like? Mmmm... Such a typical section... Ok, let's go: my family (it should be noted that is greatly comforting to make as happy as possible my young and beautiful wife, although it is not an easy thing to achieve) & friends, music (and specially listening/playing guitar), traveling around the world (with special 'affection' to NYC and London) and meeting nonconformist people (and maybe this leads to traveling again...).
Music
I'm absolutely mad about Jim Morrison and The Doors, as well as with John Lennon (and The Beatles, although sometimes Paul makes me hate them). More recent? Ok, I really like The White Stripes (Jack is a guitar-killer!). Adam Green (this guy is amazing!), along with the Moldy Peaches and Kimya. I also like The Strokes (specially Jules' creativity). Going back to the past again, I'm also in love with Jimi Hendrix, The Velvet Underground (Lou Reed alone has also made some good stuff), Jefferson Airplane and Janis Joplin. I also like Nirvana (yeah, Kurt was a great musician!), Sex Pistols (Lydon is a wise man!), Richard Hell & The Voidoids, The Clash, Bruce Springsteen (another big one!), The Raconteurs, Guns N' Roses, George Harrison, Elvis Presley, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Radiohead, Television, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher, Oasis, Velvet Revolver, Green Day, Dirty Pretty Things, Gary Moore, Lynrd Skynrd, B B King, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Prince, The Verve, Blur, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Wolfmother, The Killers, Regina Spektor, ... my young wife and her lovely way to sing all songs with 4 o 5 notes only (haha, have I told you that she's so sweet?) and much, much, much more...
Movies
I love Woody Allen's movies and some ones by Monty Phyton. Tarantino is one director that I also like. I think that Star Wars, Sin City, The Matrix and some other ficiton and comic-to-film films are great (whenever there's plot and not only computer FX).
Television
I think that TV sucks so I usually use my TV as a monitor (to watch my favorite movies, concerts...). Anyway, I could say that Young Ones is definitely one of my fab TV shows. Friends and Sex And The City are a nice way to waste time too.
Books
I like Stephen King a lot! Allan Poe and Tolkien are also between my favorite. Alice In Wonderland... strange but... how to say it? You get stucked to it! I also like to read poetry (I won't give names; I just know that I like something when I read it, no matter who wrote that).
Heroes
Anna, my grandpa (I miss you a lot!), my parents, my sister (she's one of the ones that will really help the world change; she's an inspiration!) and, I don't know... real people who cares for real things.
About me:
Hi! I'm Oriol. I can't descibe myself, that wouldn't be fair. Let's just say that I'm just me, no matter in whichever direction the world happens to turn. I'm from Terrassa (just next to Barcelona).
Now the important stuff: I'm married with Anna (a beautiful little girl) and I'm as happy as can be to know that we'll walk, hand by hand, to reach whatever we propose ourselves to. More important, in few months we'll be parents :) Yeeah, that's rock 'n roll, baby!
Sé que no cal traducció, doncs els catalans estem acostumats a parlar més d'una llengua!
Who I'd like to meet: People which want to make this world a little better. People which, like me, can't close their eyes to how we are fuckin' it. (Ok, I have to admit it, I would love to meet Jim Morrison and John Lennon).
CIAO MR ORIOL, WELCOME TO “PALESTISRAEL CITY” AND KEEF THE RIDE… PEACE FOR KIDS BY BOOGIE BALAGAN
LAMENTATION WALLOO
When i was a boy I was dreaming of a land A Promised land for everyone When i was a kid I was diggin n’ diggin Across the border line I was sawing the seeds of time Sun flowers, avatiah...feeling fine
My homeboy Ali was my buddy But he was playing by the other side...
So we were climing up those mountains Flyin’ high as eagles do... N’ meanwhile heads were banging On the lamentation walloo
When i was a toy I was praying with the gun I didn’t know how to read between the lines When i was a toy I was bleeding n’bleedin It was a sign of spine I was layin’ on my home grown sorrow A kind of bleeding graps of wine My homeboy Ali was my best enemy But he was burried by the other side... (Azriel : ps 9 the Walloo Book)
