On lead vocals – Amy Cook, Bluffton, IN. Amy began her singing career at the age of 12, following in the footsteps of her older brothers and sisters. Throughout high school she continued her passion for the theatre. She has appeared in such musicals as “Bye Bye Birdie” “Damn Yankees” “Godspell” “Crazy for You” “Sound of Music” and “Oklahoma” as well as singing at numerous weddings. She is excited to be on stage and performing with our very own 81/89!
On bass guitar and vocals – Mike Layne, Roann, IN. His biggest inspiration with life and music is his late father Fred who played guitar, banjo and sang vocals in bluegrass and blues. Mike started playing at the age 16. Played in such bands as Rogers Ritual, Tainted, Hinge, Level 6, and Infexion. Most recent adventure for 2 years was Swamp Angel. And now our very own 81/89!
On rhythm guitar, keys and vocals – Ray Cruz, Warsaw, IN. Ray is a self taught musician since the age of 8. Played bass for 23 years, drums for 9, guitar for 8 and has been singing for more than 15. He has played in original, cover and 3 touring bands. Bands such as Point 10, Gettin Even, Crosstown, Odd Man Out, Crosseyed Dotti and Swamp Angel. And now our very own 81/89!
On drums and vocals – Karl Wood, Warsaw, IN. Karl began playing drums in middle school. Played in such bands as Curious George and High Voltage Fence. He uses Mapex drums with Evans heads and Zildjian cymbals and DW high hat and double kick. Karl took some time off and was in the Marines. He started up again two years ago with Swamp Angel. And now our very own 81/89!
..s, guitar and vocals – Rob Lasuer, Claypool, IN. Rob has been playing all guitars for 20 years and keys since 4th grade. Played in such bands as Parasite, Point 10, Creep Show and Crosseyed Dotti. He has toured many states. Rob also has a great ear and has run sound for many bands. And now plays in our very own 81/89!
