About me:

Upstate NY based MELON BROTHERS was formed in 1998 It's goal It's is to be the best working rock/funk cover band in upstate New York. The MELON BROTHERS plays a diverse spectrum of artists from the 60's,70's and 80's. Everything from Allman Brothers, P-Funk and James Brown to VanHalen, the Doobie Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughn and the Black Crowes. One hit wonders, various medleys and even a little Johnny Cash. MELON BROTHERS does it all!

The members are all seasoned pros and were hand picked for their musicianship. The band likes to have fun and doesn't take itself too seriously, but prides itself on delivering great music and a good time.

Lead guitarist/vocalist Trace Davis was a founding member of former Attack Records/Sony recording act As It Is based out of NYC and is the president/founder of Voodoo Amplification (www.voodooamps.com). He has also played with recording artists Watersigns, Beggarsday, and Twilight Kingdom, several upstate NY bands such as Beggarsday, Bustercrab, Asylum, etc. He also served as a recording engineer/producer on numerous projects and featured on countless recordings as a session player. Bassist/vocalist/keyboardist Jamie Osterhout was also a founding member of recording artists As It Is and Watersigns. He has also played in Beggarsday, Watersigns, Simple Simon and currently plays in The Parlor Cats blues band based in Binghamton New York. Lead vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Brian Davern is a former member of upstate NY Brethren of Funk, Binghamton NY based 3-Faze, Money Shot and also currently plays acoustic shows throughout upstate New York. Drummer Billy Malinovski is a former member Binghamton favorites the Money Shot, Big Fellas and the Big-Big Fellas. Newest member, harmonic player Don Fenton, also plays in local Ithaca NY favorites the 505 Blues Band and rounds off the band perfectly.

The MELON BROTHERS live shows are always spontanious, entertaining and most importantly FUN! The MELON BROTHERS are one of the only bands in upstate NY that enjoys bringing the areas best musicians up on stage to play together. The MELON BROTHERS play every 3rd Friday at Ithaca's revered The Haunt Bar & Grill for a free happy-hour show from 6:30PM-8:30PM
