About me: Project H-Rod all started from an idea that would shortly turn into a reality. Craig has a muscle disease called SMA a form of Muscular Dystrophy. This has prohibited him from cruising in his father's 1957 Chevy Belair due to the difficulty of getting him into the car. Cruising was a huge part of Craig's life when he was young. Every weekend Craig and his father cleaned up the red “little hot rod” and hit the streets. In the fall of 2003 Chris Fleming came to Craig about making a 50's panel truck into a hot rod that he could ride in. The next night Craig did a series of drawings of a hotrod 1957 Carryall Suburban. The Carryall model had windows, which was more appealing to Craig. With ideas floating around, finally Craig told Chris that “we are going to do this”. The hunt was on for a 1955 - 1959 Carryall Suburban. 3 months later a call came in that a 1955 model was for sale on EBay. After a close auction the truck was won by the guys. As they say the rest is history.
