I am the youngest of the four Stocek's, now well known throughout the US. Currently I am living in Portland, Oregon with my wonderful and beautiful wife Melisa and our dog Hampton. We bought a house a few years ago and have been working on fixing it up ever since. One day it will be the house of our dreams and we'll sell it and move on.
I have been playing guitar for about 17 years now. My primary focus has been on flatpicking and bluegrass guitar. I'm a little whacked in the head when it comes down to it because it's all I think about most days. Sadly, it's almost all I listen to. And I listen a lot. I spend a fair amount of time practicing, but somehow it's never enough.
I am working as a structural engineer in Portland and for the most part I enjoy my job. Though I would rather be doing something else, if you have to work it's a pretty good job. If I ever win the lottery I will retire and never work another day. Those of you who ask what I would do with all that free time are completely insane and need to go out in the world sometime.
