About me:

As President and Chief Analyst, I oversee the Freedman Report’s operations and am directly responsible for our mortgage market analysis and float/lock recommendations.

My varied professional career spans the banking, finance, and mortgage industries. As a currency trader, I learned how to analyze and predict financial market trends. In 2001, I became a loan officer for a major mortgage brokerage firm.

After repeatedly seeing associates miss out on extra profits due to incomplete information or poor advice on when to lock or float their loans, I decided to develop a better system for analyzing and forecasting mortgage market pricing. In 2003, I began writing what would become the Freedman Report. Two years later, I created a web site and made the Freedman Report available to all mortgage originators.

I write a weekly column on the mortgage market for www.BrokerNewswire.com and provides weekly mortgage market commentary on www.MortgageMediaMag.com. I have also written multiple articles that have appeared in Mortgage Originator Magazine.

I have also coached AYSO soccer and actively supported local high school athletic programs for the past 11 years. As a player, my men’s league teams have made the finals 6 of the last 9 years. In 2004, I teamed with my business partner to raise $5,000 for a prominent charity, through sponsorships of our half-marathon race.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from California State University at Northridge.
