    ....no plans for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend? REALLY wanting to see Fast & The Furious 6?! Then plan on visiting us this weekend (5.24 - 5.26) for 1. FAST & THE FURIOUS 6 & 2. IRON MAN 3!! Plan on arriving early, because we expect this to be a blow out weekend!! Gates open at 7pm, and movies will start around 8:30pm! $10/carload!

    This Mother's Day Weekend (5.10 - 5.12) we will be playing 1. IRON MAN 3 & 2. PAIN & GAIN!! Remember, the movies listed here (and on the marquee) are the order in which they will play. Gates open at 7pm, and the movies start around 8:30pm!

    Hello everyone! This coming weekend (5.3 - 5.5) we will be playing 1. IRON MAN 3 & 2. OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL!! You will need to get there early, because this will be a packed out weekend! Gates open at 7pm, and movies start around 8:30pm!

    Hey, We can only post the week of the movies playing, because we only know from the movie companies what we're able to play. Sorry! But we do try to get them posted as soon as we find out!

    Our Eclipse movie poster was stolen on our midnight showing of the movie. And we are contracted to keep the poster up through the showing of the movie.. so we could have been fined without it being there. Also, we will be closing some time in October. Not sure when though.

We now only have about 2 working speakers! They are located on the row directly in front of the snack bar. So, for those of you who do not have a working car radio, we would like to suggest bringing a battery operated radio to listen to the movie or try parking next to the snack bar on the left side. There is a speaker on the side of the building which allows for vehicles close by to hear the movie. So do not feel like you can't come out and enjoy the fun!!

The Sunset Drive-in Theater is a better deal than ever with the high price of gas these days!!!

Please be advised that if you leave the Drive-In you must pay to re-enter. No entry is allowed on foot. You must have a vehicle to enter and stay at the drive-in. For everyone's safety we do not allow customers to aproach the Box Office once you have entered the drive-in either on foot or by driving your car the wrong way through the entrance since it is for incoming car traffic ONLY.The Sunset is not be responsible for accidents or injuries due to this.

So that all of our customers may enjoy there evening with us please remember a few simple rules and policies while at the SUNSET:
NO PETS
NO GRILLS
NO FIREWORKS
NO LASER POINTERS
NO TENTS OR TARPS
these items interfere with everyones ability to view the movie behind and around you. If you do enter the drive-in with pet in your vehicle you will be asked to leave.You may take the pet home and you may return the same night. If not, please join us another night without the pet.
Remember there are NO REFUNDS.
If you plan on leaving the hatch on your vehicle up during the movie it will need to be tied down "level" with the roof of your vehicle to allow others to see over you. Twine will be provided in the snack bar for you to tie down your hatch if you do not have your own.
No sitting on top of your vehicle unless you are parked on the very last row of the drive in where no other cars can park behind you.
Our movies are RADIO broadcast for better sound qaulity. You may bring a battery operated radio to be able to hear the movie sound if your car radio does not work. Keep in mind that we do not have electrical outlets to plug in the radios and we do not sale batteries. The SUNSET Manager is located in the snack bar if you need assistance while visiting the Drive-In. For those customers visiting us for the first time, the snack bar is the white building located in the center of the field directly in front of the movie screen. The restrooms are located on the backside of the snack bar.

Remember to visit our Snack Bar while at the SUNSET.

We visited your drive in last weekend and had the best time ever. it was our kids first time at a drive in theater but will not be their last. we got there early so we could play football with the kids and there were plenty of others to join in with us. everyone was so friendly. we hope to see our new friends there again for another game soon. it is a great way to spend an inexpenseive fun evening with the family. it would have cost us more than thirty dollars just to enter the walk in theater, not to mention the cost of food and snacks there. plus we got to see 2 movies for only $7 for the whole car. if you have kids this is the way to go for a night out with the family with out spending your entire paycheck. the people inside the snack bar are friendly and the food is great. can't wait to come back.

My husband and I drove from Lenoir to take our sons to their first drive-in movie at the Sunset last summer. We all had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back. It was well worth the trip. I was surprised at how affordable admission and concessions were, as well as the quality of movies that were shown.

I am not from NC, my husband is I am from IL and my husband and I wanted to go to the drive in since there are none around anymore so we drove down to his parents house which is 10 min. away from The Sunset we had 2 greatg up to date movies, popcorn, and a new infant and we had fun. We got couple of mosquito bites but it was fun anyway. Stay Around people need you, still.
