OUR CAUSE

Walker MMA Academy is a non profit organization that is dedicated to helping Dayton's trouble youths, as well as batter & abused women. Our belief is that the Martial Sciences can be taught in such a manner that it can change the lifestyle of a person as a whole. We teach our communities youths about self discipline, self awareness, and self control. It is also an unbelievable way to provide Dayton's youth with a means of staying off the streets and out of trouble.
The benefits of the martial arts in todays society are no secret. Our methods of self defense are proven to work the world over. At Walker MMA Academy we teach Brazilian Jujitsu which is a grappling art designed to take away the advantage of the bigger stronger person and allow the smaller person the opportunity to effectively defend themselves. This particular style of martial arts is so effective it is taught to the U.S. Special Forces. This is a great art for women and is guaranteed to build self confidence.

If you just looking to get fit without getting hit we have just the program for you. Step into the new age of fitness right here in Dayton, Ohio! Take inches off and burn calories fast with true to life Boxing, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts workouts are designed by real professional fighters and will give you a total body workout. You'll learn real punch, kick combinations, work with focus mitts, and heavey bags. All of our work-outs are structured in rounds. Each of our rounds focuses specifically on cardiovascular, toning, muscle strength, core and more. During your works you'll notice that you are learning real techniques and how to use them properly. All of our boxing and kickboxing programs will require hand wraps and gloves. If you do not have your own wraps and gloves Walker MMA Academy will be happy to loan them to you for free of charge. If you decided that you would like to participate in one our MMA classes protective gear and mouthpiece will be required. You can also purchase all protective equipment at our gym or online!
