i'd like to consider myself an artist... i'm now a stay-at-home mom so, i probably won't have time to paint much for a while. i left the corporate life behind to raise my daughter and, maybe, become a part-time bartender. but, my goal in life is to drink and paint all day for a living. someday... i haven't updated it in over a year but, you can check out my work at

i play soccer, though not very well. but, i'm very adept at watching it on tv...
my greatest joys are my baby girl, kai and my precious pup, maggie. i love dogs. i think they are like hairy dolphins. my hubby is pretty great, too. ;)

i enjoy a variety of music genre including techno, jazz, blues, rock... the only music i think i don't like is rap and country but there are exceptions to every rule... ..

all kinds... i prefer a good, dark comedy or something thought provoking and/or action packed but i'll "LOL" at south park just as hard as the next gal... i think my all-time fave is breakfast at tiffany's (so cliche!), love donnie darko, oh, and any tim burton flicks, of course!
Television
i hate to admit it, because i'd like to be one of those people who say, "i really don't watch tv," but, i'm a boob-tube addict... i hate reality tv shows, though.
Books
thich nhat hanh, a friend turned me on to neil gaiman, author of "good omens" and "american gods"... very hitch-hiker's-guide-to-the-galaxy-ish. he co-authored with terry pratchet so, he's next on my list. also very good: christopher moore, tom robbins, douglas adams (of course), kurt vonnegut jr. and, in a fit of whistful nostalgia, shel silverstein, tolkien and cs lewis.
i'm still trying to define myself... artist, mommy, instigator, antagonistic optimist... i'm determined to learn how to surf and snowboard this year, despite my lack of balance and athletic ability.
i'm a proud mommy of a beautiful little girl who had a liver transplant last year when she was 4 months old due to liver failure caused by biliary atresia (she's doing great!). www.ourbabykai.com

Heyyy well... I dont know what it is yet.. I mean, I would really want a boy first.. I have four neices, and I helped raise the first two, and it was fun.. but now I just want a little boy in the bunch. I really want to see how much he'd look like his daddy.. And we're naming him after chris's dad. But not just because he passed away, because I like the name simon its cute. lol. He said we'll hear the heartbeat next time I come which is Feb 19th and I'll be almost fifteen wks, and he said maybe he can tell the sex! woo hoo! Im sooo excited. But the dry heaving has got to go! lol.

No, things are still the same as a few days ago-looks like he has an infection again, he pees every three minutes, bladder spasms hurt, we are barely sleeping, I am starting to question what the doctor is saying-I will be taking chase to another doctor in the bay area for a second opinion at this point. I am just mad that this poor kid has to go through so much crap-ughh!! Well, I vented a little-thanks. Sorry!! Hugs back to you all. Talk with you soon.
