About me: well what about me. winter is here after the worse year of my life. i'm back in alaska, for god knows what reason. I feel like i've returned to the scene of the crime. I see where it all started with me and the logic of my operation patterns. the poem I found in maine on my friends land totally described my upbringing here.
I tittled the poem in my mind. a bohemian's conservative training environment.
it goes.
all visions grow stagnant
when left alone
a cold wind to vanquish
a dying fire
hands are tied
by the mental pollution
kindled in the jingoistic visions
that bleed are hope
in this black shadow of today.
the last few years are erratic I spent a summer in fairbanks and tanana alaska doing work to pay my maintenance and doing research for my master thesis. back in utah doing the grad school thing in utter poverty. now, i've left utah after the factory work there has dried up, making paying rent not utterly possible. im going back to alaska to work either in a cannery or work two service industry-tourist work jobs. i'll try to finish my thesis and not make it totally suck and make the minimum payments on my credit cards and student loans. political-cultural i'm basically a american indian-white-black guy. socio-economically, i'm an unskilled working class guy with intellectual ambitions. I"m as physically attractive as a syphilitic lesion. I look like a hard drinking mexican homebum. but more truthfully my grandma met my physical twin. he was some egytian kid named nasser working at a greyhound station in kansas city. I'm a grad student in history. I"m non-mormon, non-white who lived during the school year in logan, utah. the heart of mormon hegemony at a school some would refer to as BYU lite. I'm turning into a hungry ghost, even though i'd like to think of myself as the sleeping dragon. I love people and the world, but I see no place for me anywhere but back home in alaska where in many ways i'm a nobody. I"ve traveled and met many beautiful people in the places I've lived. people that make me feel great shame for my depression,melancholy and suicidal tendencies because they are what is best in humanity, but these good people are outvoted by the mass of commodified and quite honestly insane masses i've encountered as well. this and the last generation of americans will be remembered historically as the middle class that voted themselves out of existence. I strive to be productive, sincere and compassionate. even though these goals at times are utterly mutually exclusive. when I die I either wanted to be buried in tanana, alaska with my mother's people or made into sausage for friends and family. trying to be useful even in death or lie in a wooden grave with wooden headstone next to people I know going back into the cruel land I'm from that is like me in ways: wild desolate fragile and beautiful . I know what it is to be treated like I"m useless, worthless and replacable. so I try to treat others like they matter. don't do too good of job of it. but I know how shitty things can be. I try to care about creating a tolerant atmosphere and try to care about the safety of people around me. its pointless to be crippled or killed before one's time. like squanto, i'd like to save the lives of people that are even total assholes, that would kill me at first profitable oppurtunity. I remember everyone has the right to revenge. don't ever start shit, but be sure as hell to finish it. one day I hope to be a teacher. but that may or might not happen.
Who I'd like to meet: anyone. I"ve worked a lot in factories and with machines. so I'd like to met people different from me. I always wanted to have a friend in every village and neighborhood in the world, I'd especially like to type to people that would never speak to me on the street or work in the cesspools I tend to end up in where people tend to get to know me and appreciate me. helps me expand my mind and I hope at least amuse my fellow humans with my point of view (propaganda). even if on some levels of existence I'm pretty subhuman, I do not think others are or deserve to be treated that way.
Today and throughout the holiday season, Be are thankful for the love have witnessed , Be are thankful for the lives that were lived, and be are thankful that we can come together, support each other, and share our journey, in the spirit of hope and love.

Ralph & Edna Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool. Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end. When she went to tell Edna the news she said, 'Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness. The bad news is, Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead.'
