Most all sports. Current events, the legal profession, and most importantly, my daughters lives!
Music
I like just about anything except rap, but my daughters have opened a new chapter in my musical tastes. Through them I have been introduced to Green Day, Black Eyed Peas, PCD, and Gwen Stefani. I do not think I will ever learn to like High School Musical!! I like The Doors, AC/DC, The Eagles, the Boss, Johnny Cash, Kenny Chesney, Big and Rich and most country. I also still like the rest of the stuff I listened to in high school, college and law school!!!
Movies
Animal House and Caddyshack are the two all time best movies ever! Cool Hand Luke is a great movie as well as all movies with Clint! I also love School of Rock,...great premise!
Television
Sports Center is the best way to catch the days events. I am never around any other set time to watch anything consistently. I cannot tell if I like Grey's Anatomy or not. I watch it, but...a bit far fetched!
Books
I read both books by Dan Brown, Da Vinchi Code and
Angels and Demons and both were very good. Both were very hard to put down. I do not read a lot for pleasure because I read too much for work!
Heroes
I am amazed how special a person my mom was as I get older. She passed away before either of my daughters were born, but until I had kids of my own I did not appreciate all the things she did for me and my brothers.
About me: I am from a very small (Hick) town in Wisconsin. It is called Montello and is 50 miles straight North of Madison. "FUGOWEE Country"!! It had, and still has, around 1500 people in a county of about 15,000. I attended college and law school in Wisconsin and then moved to Fresno after graduating law school. I have been here with the same law firm ever since. I do not miss the weather!
I have two fantastic daughters, ages 13 and 9, who are very beautiful, but very different in their personalities. I try to spend as much time as I can with them because they are growing up way too fast! My oldest loves softball and my youngest is just a girl... although she loves soccer! They both enjoy skiing and that is a lot of fun!
I am lucky in that after 20 years I still love the work I do, the people I work with, and most of the people I meet. I have to admit that I deal with people that I believe are lying every day. As a result I think I am a pretty good judge of when someone is telling the truth or being sincere, which by the way puts me in a very bad situation with my kids who are kids and trying to pull the wool over my eyes! As a result, I do not get along with phoney or dishonest people! I do enjoy what I do and the stage when it is available in the legal context (not in a microphone situation!)
I was fortunate to grow up in a small town and played three sports in high school. I am still active and try to run when I can. I also still "try" to play sports and love watching and attending sporting events. I have coached my daughter's basketball team and really enjoy the fact that all of the girls get better as the season progresses. My oldest daughter played on a travel softball team the past few summers and I enjoyed helping them with practice and attending the games. I also played on a coed softball team with my daughter which was very enjoyable,....at least for me! I am confident she will have a different view.
I love the Packers! I get together with a group of guys each year to attend a game. Last year it was the 49er game in S.F. We had a great time. I had some shirts made up with Brett Favre's record against California teams. This year we went to a game in Lambeau. After wins this year against the Chargers and Raiders, Farve is now 23 and 1, with the only loss the year T.O. caught a pass in the endzone at the end of the game...after Rice fumbled that was not called a fumble! Two years ago we we went to Lambeau for a game, the year before D.C., and the year before that San Diego. We somehow always find a way to have a good time, even if they lose!
Who I'd like to meet: My grandfathers. Both had passed away either before I was born or before I was old enough to know them.
